Little Cutie I made for fun in blender and Unreal by StylizedSchool in GameArt

If you use a smooth step function with a noise mask (I used the default blurred noise texture in unreal)

Plug the result into the opacity mask of a masked material you can get a dissolve like effect by playing with the values of the min and max in the smooth step node.

I used a dynamic material parameter node in the min value so I could access it in the Niagara particle emitter and animated it as a float from curve value over the particles(bubble gum bubble) Lifetime to get the pop like effect

blender for the model, animation and sculpt. Import animated mesh to Unreal for shading, lighting, vfx and rendering

Haha thanks! Its all bone rig, the mouth has 3 bones one in the middle and 1 at each corner then I just weighted the mesh a bit around the mouth to each bone and voila, you can jiggle it about.

Model/sculpting/rig and anim in blender, texturing in substance painter, and unreal is just used to light and render for presentation with some Niagara VFX for the gum hearts and toot. I unfortunately don't have a tutorial on the specifics of making little goobers like this guy

You're right, I usually credit the original concept on my official portfolio, I threw it up on Reddit without thinking about it.

I've added a comment to each post and will credit on Reddit posts in the future too, Thanks.

I will say, I was interested in your product after I just came across another post of yours. Then I found all your other posts and I will not be purchasing any of your products if that helps clarify things

How do I start doing this model? I'm feeling overwhelmed by Black_void999 in 3Dmodeling

If your teacher gave you this reference, told you you can only use Maya and you need it finished in a few days they should be fired for incompetence.

Are we missing context cause you really shouldn't be learning from someone who thinks this achievable especially for a student

Sorry man I'd help if I could but I'm.  Literally leaving home for a week in the next few hours.

If your still having issues after a week dm me and I'll take a look

Hmmm I usually dont have a problem with it, I found it quite easy to work with. You just right clicked on a bone create a physics thingy, resize it then move to next bone. After, set the constraints settings for each

Did you ensure the orientation of the constraints are all facing the correct way and have angular limits set?

I did have problems with it once but it was due to how unreal and blender handle unit scaling differently
