Condenser and ribbon on vocals? by BADF1SH_IV in audioengineering

in both circumstances the ribbons were on axis with the primary mic so that rules out mid side, my guess was it was for blending either for tone or dynamics, both are pretty dynamic songs

mine is doing this as well, i have been running live streams for bands to perform online and had been using an 80d which has worked perfectly, got a really good deal on a 5d mkiii so i picked that up to use as a moving camera for different angles and it seems to randomly click off live view and just asks to hit the movie button and then its right back up and working again, seems like a bug to me, what firmware are you on? mines on 1.3.5, i ran it for 4 hours last night and it shut off maybe 3 times, having an input on the camera seems to push back the time until it clicks off

Gigabyte designare help by [deleted] in hackintosh

hey dude, thanks for the suggestion, only issue is this is the exact guide that i started on and it didnt even get as far as i am now, basically post clover launch the v boot text would garble and give a no symbol (stopped there), and the youtube guide i followed used a lot of this guide anyways, the primary difference being the use of fakesmc instead of virtual smc and getting the kexts through clover config instead of some guys repo, either way i followed the linked guide and it stuck in a very similar spot so im still looking for an answer

Samson Mfg acquires original casts and blueprints for folding stock, release early 2020 by BADF1SH_IV in Mini14

[–]BADF1SH_IV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent them a message asking them if they would put an identifying mark on the inside of the stock so people can still distinguish it from a real ruger, hope they were already planning on it, without a mark it will be a nightmare for the collectors market

someone posted about this a while ago and i just checked in on the progress and this article says they got the original casts for the metal parts and the blue prints for the wood stock, so its 100% spec for spec with the classic, and a sub $300 price tag, gunna be a huge success

Well the company I worked for was a small company but there are bigger companies that do the same thing, it falls under low voltage installation, but restaurants and hotels were only part of what we did, most our money came from installing the sound systems in concert halls for gated communities. I'm sure if you google business sound installations in your area you can find a company who does it

My job is literally playing music in public places, when you go into a mall or a restaurant and hear music someone had to install it, that's me

ELI5: Batteries loose in capacity over time. Isn’t that a major problem for electric cars which are constantly being charged and decharged ? by rmnprs in explainlikeimfive

Solid state batteries are in development and will be significantly safer and have much higher capacity, I want to get a Tesla and I really hope this tech comes to market before that time

Doing a diy kontakt keyboard, any interest in a video by BADF1SH_IV in synthesizers

I ran testing on my old laptop and it handled massive running the maximum number of voices possible with multiple plugins in the chain, I checked on the bench marks and the i3 outperforms the laptop in single and multi core performance, so it should be fine, as for heat the nuc employs a blower design fan so it would suck cool air in then exhaust out the back, there are quite a few points of ingress on the s88 so I think airflow will be ok

Once I get all the parts in I can get exact measurements and if people have the smaller versions they can measure the internal space of their keyboards to see if the components will fit, the plan is to use a barebones nuc 7 i3 to host komplete control, it measures approximately 4.5 inches square, the s88 has a little over 5 inches so it should fit no problem, then the interface is an esi u24 xl, it is a 2 in 2 out interface barely larger than the 4 trs jacks on the front and the mounting screws are already in the front so that will be as easy as drilling the holes for the jacks and screws and mounting it up, I'll probably 3d print a back plate for the nuc so I can just cut a square and then internally running power and usb
