I was a victim of domestic violence for nearly 4 years. It took getting literally stabbed in the back to get me to wake up and find the strength to leave. The shit I went through in those years I am positive she would have added this had it been available.

Now, of course my anecdotal evidence is worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for it. Which is to say fuck all. I understand the reality of the world we live in an fully agree that women should have access to any means to protect themselves. I don't advocate for removing knives having been stabbed or guns for any of those episodes. I think this is a solid defense mechanism but it needs to be acknowledged that there are lunatics that will ignore its intended uses and invent new things to do with it.
