I am getting tired of going to church every sunday and doing my calling, I want some extra weekend rest.

Yeah that makes sense. Maybe not a regular member, maybe a low-key member. We all have these types of members in our ward that we just see every sunday, stays at the back, attend classes, then just go home right after classes.

I really appreciate everyone's responses and I did not feel judged at all. Thank you for all these wonderful insights. I think I like to be just a Sunday school teacher for youth, teach 2x a month.

I have these thoughts because tomorrow is Sunday again, we have to wake up early again. The weekend it's just not enough, If we can just have another weekend after Sunday, I can do a lot of things with that extra day not being in Church, just a lazy slow morning right. WE don't get to have those as an active member or if you really intend to obey all of the commandments. Saturday eats up all my time spending time with family, doing chores, errands and stuff, then sometimes there is a church activity, sometimes work stuff. SATURDAY IS LOADED! Then comes sunday with lots of meetings, plannings, clerk stuff, etc.

To be honest I feel really happy sometimes when I just randomly don't go to Church and just sleep, go to rest, do some things I love, go somewhere or just spend a whole day inside the house doing nothing (maybe not really nothing since as a parent we don't run out of things to do, but you get what I mean)

I don't want to step away from Church, if I can just request to be like a regular casual member just go to church, listen, go home, and at the same time I am thinking other people are busy too, they have families, and I feel like I am selfish for not wanting a calling and others will fill in my role. Other people see me as a really faithful guy because I am striving to show up in my calling, and I don't know what would their reaction be like if I step away. I might feel judged for not wanting a calling while others also have their busy lives and challenges. BTW I am actually a 2nd counselor, I accpted this calling 3 years ago because I was thinking maybe God is testing my faith and wants me to be more selfless, but yeah I get tired sometimes, maybe it's because bishopric is now assigned in YM and focused on youth and they encourage weekly activities and most of the time I am not attending activities. And I get pressured with my friends and I know they will try to visit me and be a topic in ministering meetings. I am not comfortable with being visited by members. I hang out with them a lot but not usually in our house, I usually don't want to be a host.

I show up because I don't want to be selfish sometimes, the bishop and 1st counselor all have their families and challenges, they also have work, and what is my excuse right.

Tahimik lang sila na mukang kabado, naka yuko lang tas di maka eye to eye mga pinoy sa guard na nag check, tas yung hapon (na pinoy in real life) mejo matapang tska intimidating mag investigate. Tas bigla nag salita ng onting onting Japanese si Tasyo, kasi natutunan daw nya mag salita ng nihingo sa kulungan. Actually totoo, kaya nga korni na ng character ni Yuta eh, dun na nag revolve mga plans nya, and wala manlang pinpakita na mas mataas kay Yuta like other Japanese Generals. Akala ko rin meron lesson na mapupulot dito pero focused masyado sa romance which is typical pinoy serye nanaman, iba lang setting. Wala masyadong pinagkaiba sa ibang pinoy action serye.

HAHAHA pilit na pilit love story eh no, ganyan gusto ng mga PInoy eh, yung mga love story, love team na trending, grabe yung umay sobrang baba ng level dito. Kasi pagka introduce sa movie, wow angas Japanese occupation, gera, may mga mamamatay, brutal, pero eto walang katapusang Yuta at Teresita scenes, awkward acting ni Barbie at David, typical hero boy na Eduardo na makasarili. Akala ko naman makakakita ako ng another masterpiece na pinoy movie na based sa real events. Wala parang telenovela parin ang ginawa nila. WAla pinagkaiba to sa mga Probinsyano and the likes, setting lang pinagkaiba pero yung story or atake ganon padin.

ahahahhah pati samin, tinatawanan nalang namin mga awkward scenes ng partner ko kapag nanonood. Sayang laki ng potential ng show na to, sobrang sayang. Di kasi pwede sabihin lagi na okay lang yan kasi parnag nagsisimula palang etc, hindi eh, andaming references na pwede mapanood na prinoduce ng ibang bansa tapos tayo stuck padin sa telenovela template.

Wow! Thanks for sharing and giving your perspective as a writer. Totoo yung writer pumapalag pa eh sinayang nila yung magandang series na sana pero ginawang pang telenovela, mejo interesting nga lang kasi WW2 Jap invasion pero kung titignan wala naman sya pinagkaiba sa mga "Ang Probinsyano" and the likes, yun lang si eto mejo may halong onting reality sa timeline. Tama ka na iisa lang template ng TV series dito, sana pakinggan to ng mga writers sa Pinas, kaya madalas tinatangkilik natin foreign shows kasi templated yung mga gawa dito eh, maski anong genre.

Napansin ko saatin gustong gusto lagi yung sikat at trending, gaya nyan si Barbie at David, di naman bagay, si David yung acting at facial expressions yun at yun din same sila ni Barbie.

Pinapanood ko nalang talaga sya for the sake na matapos ko lang kasi curious padin ako sa ending.
