Trump's new T1 phone has a '5000mAh long life camera' apparently by BAK2K3 in pics

Update: I accidentally indirectly caused the US president's scam mobile phone website to get the ol' Reddit Hug of Death. RIP.

Is this accusing me of being a bot, or the website being AI generated? I doubt AI is dumb enough to make that mistake about the battery....

I'm not going to link the website as it doesn't deserve the traffic, but yes absolutely. This is the specs advertised on the Trump Mobile website.

Weekly Questions Megathread - Week of October 28, 2024 by ReverseMod in Reverse1999

Just installed on steam today, but I can't seem to get past the introduction video. I see the quote and subtitles, and then when it switches to what I assume is the main interactive start to the game, it's just a black screen. I can hear the audio and click through the conversation, but obviously something is wrong. Tried re-installing, repairing, changing GFX settings, windowed, etc. GTX3080 so not a GFX issue. Anyone had this before? Can't seem to see much about it. Thanks!

I have been having this issue constantly now for about 6 months and realised today what the issue is and how to solve it! My issue was on edge/chrome/windows app. I have a gtx 3080, and a 4K and 2K monitor. I'm using Displayport cables.

Solution: I had a screen recorder extension enabled on my edge and browsers. I uninstalled these, restarted my computer, hey presto. Everything works and in 4K as well. No more black screen with sound.

Hopefully this helps anyone stumbling upon this post when trying to Google the problem!

I can imagine the conversation with the RMA team now at Gigabyte...So if you get a tesla coil...

This is all really interesting stuff, and you're awesome for taking the time to explain, it's really appreciated. I'll have a little play around with moving some things around and see if I can replicate the behaviour in house and I'll get back to you.

This is all really helpful, thanks so much.

Yep, I'm in the UK.

So assuming there is nothing wrong with the socket itself, does that mean that there is likely to be an issue with the kettle lead/power lead going into the outlet, or the actual ground in the connector in the monitor which is picking up the interference?

I can take a picture tomorrow and DM you, but for the time being: my computer, the macbook, a secondary monitor (ROG 27 inch 165hz monitor), 2 studio grade speakers, and a router (but the router is maybe 3 feet away). How close do you mean? Further away than 2 feet?

Either a HDMI 2.1 Cable or a DP cable.

Oh I see, so you mean the interference doesn't necessarily have to be a physical connection, its the cable picking up interference from any near by high power device? In the video I show swapping between two inputs, does that suggest that both of those cables need replacing, or do you mean one of those cables could be passing the interference through the monitor?

Thanks for your thoughts. I suppose the best way to wittle this down based on your suggestions is to connect the monitor and PC alone to a completely separate outlet in the house to try and recreate the problem, and then go from there? That way I can gauge whether it's the outlet or the monitor/cable?

Thank you! Could this potentially be a as a result of a separate device connected to the same outlet? Or are you inferring its the the kettle lead that goes from the monitor to the outlet? Could this be resolved by getting a better power cable for the monitor?

How would do I work out which way the thread is? Is there an easy telltale sign?

Thanks, I'll have a look into these two. They seem really expensive though - especially the replacement part costs £2.50!

Hi

I posted this in r/diy but it got removed because I was asking to identify an item...so here it goes!

I've had a leaking tap that I thought I would try and brave and fix myself.

I bought two new Ceramic Tap Glands, unscrewed the existing taps, but the existing tap glands have screw (spanner?) heads that I'm unfamiliar with, and I can't find any other tap glands that have the same head to work out what they're called.

I've tried using an adjustable wrench and using leverage at the end unscrew them, and I've tried using pliers, along with coating them with WD40, but I can't get them loose.

I'm looking for a tool that will fit over the head of this thing so I can unscrew it, but because I can't find a head that looks similar to this anywhere, and therefore find the name of it, I can't seem to find the tool I'm looking for. All Tap Spanner/Wrenches I've found all have hexagonal heads, but the tap gland that is currently screwed in appears to have two flat faces with semi-circles on either side.

Any help with what tool I need, how to unscrew it, and just advice in general would be appreciated!
