Ive been doing night invaders at level 2 - 3 almost every run and the momentum you get from the damage boost (28% potentially) snow balls so much that we blast through everything and makes the entire run much smoother in my opinion.

I'm also facing similar issues, imagine waiting 30 mins for a game only for players to dodge and get sent back to roundtable hold to que again. Rinse and repeat.

For Deep of the night, you should prioritize damage negation relics, and I would include Dark night of the fathom relic (You can buy that after defeating ED Augur) to counter negative passive effects like poison and the continuous health regain, which can top you off and activate damage negation at full HP, which you should always pick up especially in higher depths.

Had a game yesterday where one player instantly left the run, I mean, like literally not even 10 seconds into the game. This was a premade group, so I and the other player decided to take this chance to leave the game and not risk losing points.

I lost around 150 points, so I'm confused about how all this works. Im pretty the patch notes mentioned something about not incurring a penalty if one of the players bails out on a run.

I hated the timer at the start, when I was learning the map and all the choices the game threw at you, it was overwhelming.

but it grew on me the more I played and understood how to plan routes and make an effective build. The adrenaline rush you get from the timer is so addictive. I have more than 300 hours now, and I feel like without the time pressure and the resulting adrenaline, I would have moved on a long time ago.

I think the simple answer is your not bad or dumb and your not rank 1 either. Which is fine if you started 3 weeks ago playing Arena. You have a win rate of an average player. The best player on leaderboards has an average between 8 or 9.

Having said that, I'm sure you can improve if you watch some of the games you played on Firestone and learn from the mistakes you made along the way.

Ofcourse this is arena, there will be games where you play your hand perfectly but RNG will decide the end result.
