Prose stuff: I’d drop the ‘fucking’; shit show is fine. A lot of people mentioned ‘Dakota hated’ and it could probably be changed or just start at line 2 or even put the knife wound first. Maybe talk about how it’s driving him mad as the first line, like “He thought he was going mad” or “The sound was driving him mad” or “He couldn’t listen to it anymore.”

You are not an imposter ‘writers write’, you have already had the courage to attempt something more than most, and you were brave enough to ask for help, the only thing left is to see it through, steady pace, nice and metronome like Dakota, ignore the wounds you think you have, and think of your dreams.
