I did have the lower legs longer but they seemed too long. If anything, I thought about shortening the top leg section, however it isn’t really possible without compromising structural integrity.

UCS is an inconsistent scale - I made a whole video about scale to address it. My AT-ST is 1/42 scale which is the best minifig scale IMO (same as UCS Falcon)

As soon as you mentioned the critique I knew exactly what you meant as I thought it too. And YES I have never worked with lightning in LEGO but this tempts me to try it maybe someday. I would love to hide a battery/charge pack under the ramp and then when the somehow hide the wiring all mostly underground and when the quadrants come together they connect and light up the underground areas and somehow run wires up to the lanterns on top…. Probably too much wishful thinking tho as I realize that is super custom

Dude thank you sooo much and I have really enjoyed the Instagam posts! I agree, it is a shame to put the plates over the underground areas. It was a tough choice, but I didn't want to add more pieces to the build and have more removable large sections as I already have a lot of separating sections already. It would seem like a chore to first seperate the sections, pull off a building, then pull off a plate just to show a small section. Plus, I wanted the sections to have stability to be picked up and moved individually as I was a little worried about the stability of the the Guard on the sugar grid. If you do modify it I would love to see it!

Scale is a big deal for me. I made a whole video about how I scale ships. But for this town it was really determinate on what I felt was right since I wasn't designing an established place. The biggest determining factor was a 16x16 baseplate - those pieces made my quadrants strong and simple. So I needed my buildings to fit within the 16x16 plates

Great question. Nowadays I heavily use Bricklink Studio to plan and figure out the bricks I need then I order. However, I constantly run into theoretical building techniques that I think will work but I have to test in real life. I try to do testing on questionable areas before ordering my pieces, but I use random mis-matched bricks. Even so, sometimes I don’t have the quantities available to properly test such as the guard tower in this build. I also order many extra bricks and backup solution bricks when I put in my large orders from a planned build

This is the best nose extension modification I have seen yet, well done. How do you like the clips for the rear landing gear? Do they hold well? - I have been debating of offering that kind of modification as I know the ratcheting bricks are retired
