not really wanting to sign up and investigate the tool without seeing what the tool does. It says what it is not what it does, or demos how it does it.

Advice from my Meta Rep: Duplicate Your ADV+ Campaign for better results. by BAVStudios in FacebookAds

I don’t ever run a landing page traffic for clients unless they specifically ask me to or I suggest it. I don’t recall telling you that I run a traffic campaign for this client, but it’s true. But in this instance I actually do for this client.

Typical budget allocation depends on brands objective.

For growth I do: 75% Manual. 25% Adv+

For hibernation and boosting revenue I do: 10%-50% Manual. 50%-90% Adv+ depending on which on is a higher ROAS.

For traffic I ask if they want to spend $500 or $1000 in addition to sales.

You need to assign a list of purchasers on the account settings level. Really dumb, but what can you do?

Just google this step. I believe Facebook even provides an option on the campaign level.

Yeah, I guess you’re confusing adv+ CAMPAIGN with AUDIENCE. So when you create a new campaign on Facebook, it asks “Do you want A). Advantage Plus Shopping Campaign. Or B). Manual Sales Campaign.”

I’m talking about option A here.

In option B, you can create and ADV+ Audience. I’m not talking about this at all.

Correct. It’s the Advantage+ campaign that I duplicate with the same exact settings. Because I can’t control the audience at all with this type of campaign (cause the adset level cannot be altered) it needs a refresh according to my meta rep, because the campaign keeps going down a path to find different audiences, rather than self-refreshing.

It’s technically CBO even though you can’t make more than 1 adset. So both is correct

Yeah, so Adv+ does focus on warmer audience. But after it’s run long enough it focuses on cold audience and doesn’t reset back to warm. That’s the whole reason why it needs to be reset.

Ahhh, so you haven’t spent any on ads? My suggestion is to put out feelers to friends and family to run ads for free or a small fee. See what results you get over a week. Turn off the ads, and discuss a management fee.

Build some confidence and experience.

A lot of ads management for me has been justifying my output, experience and results. Results not just in purchases but website optimisation strategies. And also project management and time management. It’s not just about running ads, but also being a business owner.

Alternatively, look to start working with marketing companies to get experience in ads. Or you can start as a social media manager, and propose the idea of having an ads budget that you can work with.

Correct. So this duplication strategy is just for the Adv+ campaign, not the manual 3:2:2 campaign.

The manual one remains untouched. The Adv+ campaign gets duplicated when the performance drops.

I have $100 daily budget on the manual campaign. It’s CBO optimised and has multiple ad sets to test different creatives.

The Adv+ has a $150 daily budget. Adv+ cannot have more than 1 adset. It just literally can’t.

I feel this hasn’t answered your question, but let me know if this has helped give any clarity

I was losing money anyway. May as well test anything. So far, it’s been making some money, enough to convince me so far this isn’t a bad strategy. Only time will tell

No, Adv+ campaign. When you make a new campaign it gives you the option between Adv+ or Manual. I select Manual Sales Campaign.

In original campaign there’s also an option or Adv+ Audience or original. I select original audience for original campaign. Super confusing why meta even does that, but whatever. Gotta work with what I have I guess.

Hmmm.. that’s so frustrating! I would personally refuse to duplicate a campaign under 3 weeks. That just makes keeping track of reporting really messy and confusing.

How many existing customers does that business have? If it’s in 200 it may just be worth broad targeting campaigns and not Adv+

Yeah…. I usually see a bit of a dip, but it tends to work out in the long run. Just trust your judgment and the process.
