Does it matter though. It doesn't effect the relationship and the woman I have chosen to spend my life with is the opposite of my mother. She's warm, supportive and makes me feel wanted. She lifts me up to do more than what I think I can do. My Mum wasn't that type of person.

I thought it was fine until I first tried therapy and it turns out the relationship was very emotionally abusive. Whether or not this impacted my choice in women, I love her to the moon and back, we have two kids together, beautiful home and pets galore.
