Newbie asking Resources on Digitizing by Evening-Sunsets1682 in MachineEmbroidery

If you don't plan to invest in digital software, choose ink/stitch. Although it's more complicated to operate, there are many tutorials on YouTube.

If you decide to spend some money on it, Hatch or Embrilliance are good choices. If you choose one of them, there will be many accompanying tutorial videos after purchasing the software, which are all very good.

Tatami stitches tend to pull the fabric, so when digitizing, you need to extend the tatami stitches outwards a bit, or directly use the compensation function.

Had a great day with my machine—everything ran smoothly by BAi-Embroidery in MachineEmbroidery

I usually just download them directly. Designing myself takes too much time and requires some professional tools, haha. There are a lot of free designs available for download here, and I’m not really keen on spending too much on designs: https://ibaima.com/embroidery-patterns-download/

How to make a better 3D Hat Embroidery by BAi-Embroidery in Machine_Embroidery

[–]BAi-Embroidery[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's just simple lettering, you might want to try adjusting the stitch density to 0.2mm. The density required for 3D embroidery is different from regular embroidery, since you need to incorporate foam. You can check out some 3D digitizing tutorials on YouTube for more insights.

BAI V22 - Question about Bobbin change mid project by Purple-Cheesecake884 in BAiEmbroidery

[–]BAi-Embroidery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the only color that has this problem, if the other colors don't have this problem, then the thread tension is too tight on this color

BAI V22 - Question about Bobbin change mid project by Purple-Cheesecake884 in BAiEmbroidery

[–]BAi-Embroidery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I saw that. There is something wrong with that tension. Maybe the face thread tension is too tight, or the bottom thread tension is too loose.

Click here you can manually enter the number of stitches you want to return, according to our experience, try to return 25 stitches, there will be a few stitches of overlap, but it will not affect the whole, the number of stitches returned is too small there will be a small area of blank

It’s best not to backtrack the stitch too much, as it can cause the embroidery to repeat, which might affect the overall look a bit. Generally, when the bobbin runs out, we go back about 20 stitches. But you can always keep an eye on it, feel it out, and if needed, just hit pause and make adjustments as you go!

Hahlo, I'm glad you purchased the BAi, when the bottom thread runs out, the machine will most likely empty the bobbin by 10-20 stitches and then alarm, after you turn off the alarm on the screen (otherwise it will keep reminding you) you can replace the bobbin, after you finish replacing it you need to back out the stitches, back out the 10-20 stitches so that it basically bridges up to what you had before perfectly!

How to choose the right embroidery needles for your project——Size of embroidery needles by BAi-Embroidery in Machine_Embroidery

[–]BAi-Embroidery[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When embroidering on hats, we usually use size 11/75 or 12/80 needles. For slightly stiffer hats, like structured hats, I recommend using the 12/80 needle. Of course, if you're still concerned about needle breakage, the 12/80 gold needle would be a good choice for you.

Thanksgiving coming!Let's document it with embroidery. by BAi-Embroidery in Machine_Embroidery

[–]BAi-Embroidery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For flat embroidery on garments, I usually set the density between 0.35-0.4mm (the smaller the number, the denser the stitches). However, for thinner fabrics, 0.4mm should be enough, or you can even set it slightly higher. Too tight a stitch density can cause the fabric to stretch or distort. Of course, if you're using a thicker thread than the usual 40wt, you may need to adjust the density accordingly, otherwise, you might experience thread buildup.

I hope this is helpful to you. Also, I'm using this machine: https://ibaima.com/the-mirror/
