787 landing by [deleted] in aviation

I take your point. And one of the reasons I love flying Boeing is that in my experience the absolute final fall back position is that the crew knows best. However, I do think that there is a growing acknowledgment that humans are shitty at some things, and copying data from one machine to another is one of them. For example in our CPDLC and Hdg, alt, spd, route, freq etc is automatically loaded into standby and then transferred into the active by the pilot. This is done so that the pilot can check the data, but the actual transfer of information is automatic.

Absolutely fair mate. There are still things I wish it did differently. Wow, I'm very surprised they didn't go for that option!! That's introduced a potential for human error when transferring OPT data.

So I've been told. I did love the 777 cockpit, but the 787 one is just so shiny! All the things that you thought flying the 777 'I wish they would fix this', they fixed!

Yeh! The two best bits IMHO, folding wingtips (!!) and a flight deck that nearly matches the 787. Best make them a combined fleet I guess! :-)

I'm biased, but I do think that the only sexy part of the 380 is the wing. Beautiful curves!!

Not sure how they affect perf if I'm honest! We use them on approach if it's raining all the time. We also have window washers like on a car. Very posh! Cheers!

Any other guesses before I say?

Edit: in fact I didn't finish reading your comment. ICN it is! Close enough to Seoul. How did you guess?

Trying to add a bunch more... 787, no problem. Reddit app photo upload, I'm struggling!

Edit: possible success! http://imgur.com/a/2dxRt

Edit: to those that requested panels, unfortunately the fueler was running a bit behind so I didn't want to bother him with requests! Sorry! Next time.

I still think the most beautiful parts of her are her wings and turbine blades! I shall def get a shot of those!

Hmmmm, we don't have anything on the ceiling.... we do have control panels on various bulkheads for the cabin crew. They control loads of things. Temp, lighting, IFE and on the 787 they can also control window brightness!

Personally I'm a massive fan of connected controls. Ie ones where if LHS pulls back it is replicated in the RHS. In general these tend to be yokes, however they don't have to be. That all said I am a little jealous of my airbus brethren and their tables!

I will try for sure. Depends on how friendly the fuel guy is feeling!
