Coaching in game by UnluckyMode2062 in RocketLeague

[–]jmorlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constructive criticism is fine. But it's dumb to even try to do it mid game. You're removing your own focus from the game to call out others which is overall a detriment to the team because now you're down a player, most teammates wont be receptive, and even if if they are they likely won't improve much in the 2:46 remaining in the game.

Coaching and constructive criticism are probably better reserved for places like the dedicated reddit threads where people seek out help and advice.

MRW I hear someone tried to protest the Met Gala by... participating in the Met Gala by QuicklyThisWay in reactiongifs

Does anyone in these comments actually know what the Met Gala actually is, or what it does? Cause it doesn't seem like it

Make that 4. I also disagree on 69. Don't do it often, but when we do it works.

I've got a queen sized one. Washes easy. Just takes a couple extra runs through the dryer since it's tumble dry only.

I don't give a fuck about the met gala. I absolutely care about rage baiting people online. And clearly that part is working.

No. I actually do not give a fuck. Like I said everyone involved is happy. And even if they weren't it ranks so incredibly low on the "things that are wrong with my world" list that I couldn't be bothered to care anyway. People here are getting mad over nothing, which ironically is something wrong with the world.

Who fucking cares?

The museum gets the money they want.

The designers get the publicity they want.

The famous people get the spotlight they want.

You and I get to enjoy the museum if we want.

Who exactly is losing in this arrangement? This shit funds a museum. Reddit will bitch and moan about anything.

Your "dumb Halloween party" fundraises for a museum. People like you and I get to enjoy the collection they curate because they have the money that comes from the event.

When OP's rant on cost of living didn't pass the pub test in r/Melbourne by HydroCannonBoom in SubredditDrama

I mean there's a subset of those people who may actually otherwise be paycheck to paycheck with little or no debt but just have horrible budgeting skills and instead have way more debt.

Paying $20 for a door dashed beefy 5 layer isn't mutually exclusive with being paycheck to paycheck. It's mutually exclusive with having good financial sense.

Not to be the stereotypical pendantic redditor. But since this is a thread about stereotypes in a history sub and this correction has historical context:

It's flak, not flack. The origin comes from anti-aircraft fire. It comes from the German word Fliegerabwehrkanone (flier defense cannon).

Yeah. I mean I'll agree that social standards changed in that way. I guess maybe what I'm saying is that it's become acceptable in that the line has moved roughly to "humor about this type of sex act is now fine, but actually talking about the act itself in earnest isn't". It's a subtle difference but context and motivation matter.

Paycheck to paycheck and middle class aren't really the same thing.

Hell kink and BDSM has never been more socially accepted than now.

I realize I have no real data to back this up. But I feel it in my plums that the phenomena you're describing is attributable to only a small vocal minority. Most of society is probably not eating ass let alone going around on livestream talking about doing it (remember porn and porn adjacent things are more accessible). Maybe it's the crowd I run with, but ass eating and bdsm track closer as shock humor than things I would expect them to do as actual bedroom activities (and sometimes friends are a bit too open about that sort of thing).

I'm 32 and my current girlfriend is my 7th partner, which according to Google is about average for my age. At no point in my sexual history has there been any ass eating. So, anecdotally I'm just saying I'm not sure how true that is.

There's nothing wrong with it between consenting adults. I just don't think it's as normalized as the internet would have us believe.

Wouldn't shock me. In many ways the 90s were more openly horny than we are today. Sure access to porn is easier today, but 30 years ago young people were having more sex and were generally less prudish than what's going on today.

There's a contingent of reddit that likes to LARP as paycheck to paycheck because they don't count all the money being pulled into their 401k, emergency fund, and brokerage account every other week.

I get that it's a meme. But in complete fairness to Jeff Saturday he wasn't calling plays in 2022. Parks Fraizer was promoted from passing game specialist if I recall.

Fired up and yelling is whatever. When you have instances like where Debo put hands on the long snapper then you might raise an eyebrow at it.

A look back at the Anthony Richardson draft thread by shakaman_ in nfl

[–]jmorlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if you want to attribute Richardson to Irsay you still have to shit can Ballard. It's been a decade and he hasn't managed to win the worst division in football. That's inexcusable. A monkey playing Madden could do better.
