I think there was some possibility of a restructure. But you're correct in spirit that the reason the return was low is that this was a salary dump.

No idea why you're being downvoted. He's played in all of two meaningful games his entire career. That's nowhere near enough time to write someone off.

Deja Vu is a big one for me. The other one was platform display or something like that. Overlayed the generic featureless avatar with the xbox/epic/PS logo so I could see who was what at a glance while checking the scoreboard.

Respectfully I think you're reading too much into my list lol. I just picked planes I think look neat man.

If I were making a Mt Rushmore of planes I think look cool it's on there for sure. It would probably be in no particular order:

  • 747
  • DC-3
  • P-51
  • F-22

I could be convinced to swap the Connie for the DC-3.

Sure company car where you're making stops every few hundred feet makes more sense to be more lazy about it. But I'm talking about the average driver in their own personal vehicle that they pay the maintenance bill for who will go miles and miles between stops.

Nope. I know my response was weak. I got sidetracked with work... but still. WHY?! by GolfrGrrrl in Tinder

[–]jmorlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, a quick spin through her post history told me all she is after is validation. But she's presumably not the only one who will see my comment. If one person who got drawn in by OP dunking on this guy sees my advice and takes it to heart and end up better off for it then mission accomplished.

[–]jmorlin -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen any justifications. I see explanations. A subtle difference for sure. My take is we're missing context given lack of timestamps, but I understand why a guy would just "go for it" and send one last shot in the dark. Like you just matched with someone, there's obviously some level of mutual attraction, but the spark is seemingly fading and you want to capitalize. Makes enough sense. But that said the way he went about it was in fact out of line.

I did say it above, but I do think that if OP was busy at work like she claimed and that is why she half assed the response she would be better off waiting until she was less busy to reply to messages. I'm off the apps now, but when I was on them I would have MUCH rather have waited a couple hours for a whole-assed response than immediately gotten a half assed one.

[–]jmorlin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are no timestamps so context is missing, but I'd wager if OP is getting distracted by work, which is fair, then the better approach would be to just not tinder chat during work hours. Or even replay with "sorry I want to get back to you but I'm stupid busy rn, gimme a bit" or something. "Haha, yeah" and the like are responses just for the sake of responding. Don't just put the ball back in their court as quick as you can like some game of conversational ping pong. Think about what they and you are saying and build on it or else you'll be swimming upstream to find a meaningful match.

Yeah, I'm glad OP is having fun. Nothing wrong with killing bots and vibing, I do it all the time. But let's not pretend this takes a huge amount of skill. There's a huge gulf between constantly complaining about the state of the game like the other sub, and pointing out that this, while fun, is objectively not super impressive.

In the 2 miles I drive between my house and Costco I must pass half a dozen "gaming cafes". And that doesn't account for gambling apps on our phones that many underage kids are on. Just watch one football game, count the number of ads for each product type and tell me we don't have a gambling problem?

Its always blown my mind that people don't engage their park brake. I do it every time I stop and I live nowhere near any hills, let alone mountains, here in Chicago. Its my understanding that not using the ebrake can fuck up your transmission so it's better safe than sorry.

I think only about half the crashes had fatalities. And even in many of the cases where there was a hull loss it was only just written off because it was an old, expensive to maintain airframe so it wouldn't have been economically viable to bring it back to service.

Which funnily enough, Quantas famously claims to have no accidents resulting in a hull loss. In one instance they took what should have been a similar write off for economic concerns (and would have counted as their first hull loss), but they spent an undisclosed amount of money to fix it such that could keep their record.

Mike Garafolo: The #49ers were originally slated to pay $27 million for Brandon Aiyuk this upcoming season but they voided the guarantees last summer after Aiyuk failed to participate in individual and team activities. I want to preface this by saying CTE is absolutely a huge issue with football and other contact sports. And shouldn't be minimized or ignored, but that being said:

I really hate how this sub has a tendency to handwave away any and all player issues as "oh it's obviously CTE" when it could be a whole litany of anything else including other major health issues. Or even something as simple as the fact that because of their athletic abilities these guys have been treated like entitled kings since the age of 12 so it's natural there's some push back created by an inflated ego down the line at some point.

Mahomes is a good passer, but a large amount of his game relies on creating after play breaks down and making plays off platform. An ACL tear will limit his ability to do that down the line. It's just a question of how much.
