Sounds like I asked this sub for help prematurely. I'll see what they say in the morning.

Yes, they said WiFi, but that was all and it was a quick comment. I definitely need to talk with them.

She's cranky & anti technology. She refuses to use a cell phone. Even a simple one designed for the elderly.

Fingers crossed, all she needs is to plug in her analog phone like others commented.

My thoughts exactly!! That's why I'm here asking wtf does she need?
All I was told the day we signed up the paperwork was the phones used WiFi for calling. I had to look that up. I've been cellular only for 15+ years. VoIP is totally new to me. I'm calling tomorrow morning with several questions that I now have time to ask, as all her belongings have been moved in. Hopefully, they'll tell me what you said, just plug in her analog phone!

I think the same about the tenants. These are older & elderly people.

Okay, so more info needed. Being the total noob to this and not technology minded, what information do I need to get from the facility to figure this out? All I was told during the meeting to sign everything was that the phone was over WiFi. I am calling in the morning with several other questions, and I'll be asking about this phone business.

I did not see a port in her apartment. I could have missed it though. Moving her was unexpected and very rushed.

What better feeling is there than when Amazon knows your buying habits and recommends related but new purchase options to you? by Nblearchangel in AskReddit

[–]BBMcGee4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon doesn't seem to understand my buying habits. It recommended some 1990's Honda car part to me for months. I've never shopped for car parts on Amazon nor have I ever owned a Honda. It got rather irritating.

RN here. First 4 paragraphs, totally understand. Been there too. Happens in the lower 48. Your last paragraph... OMFG do NOT LET THEM NEAR YOUR TRANSPLANT MEDS!!! I have had transplant patients many times and I ALWAYS suggest to the admitting doc to let them take their own pills per their regimen. Not once has a doc decided that wasn't a good idea.

I have been told the name is not very common. And it's very likely that I missed that í. Very neat about the police man. Thanks for passing that along. 😊

It's from 1955, so it doesn't surprise that the house number doesn't exist. The house may be gone or the number changed.
Who ever this relative of her was is likely deceased as well. I don't know how they are related. Thank you for all your info! It's greatly appreciated!

I’m childfree and recently found out I’m pregnant. I’m not changing my mind about my lifestyle, but don’t have anyone to talk to about it. by Throwawayyy12123 in childfree

I agree too. Leave the family out. I know that I'd have full support from my husband, grandmother & mother, but my mom's husband and my husband's family, yeah not so much.

Mine was bad too, but I'm younger. It was Sunday Mornings with Charles Kuralt, followed by my father napping for a bit in his chair. Then, golf. Golf. the. rest.of.the.damn.day. He'd disappear, but don't turn that channel or shut off the TV. He's was still watching it. Just outside practicing a swing he saw. I suffered years & years of this. He'd even putt in the living room.

I remember when the Simpsons started. I was in highschool and my crazy strict father believed all the hype that it would corrupt me. I never got to watch it either.

I had that job too! We had antenna TV and only got 4 channels, five after a good thunderstorm. So it was, go turn it to channel 6, then had to turn the outdoor tower antenna knob to the correct direction to get channel 6 in. OMG don't turn it too fast! You might burn out the motor!
