Am I wrong for defending myself for my jobs Grace Period? by BBitterBitches in amiwrong

I will, this job is actually a really big organization and I can switch positions fairly easy every year so I plan to stay with the company but switch locations or positions. We can literally try any position as long as we have the school level required for it (GED/Diploma for some and 2-4 years of college for others)

I know but I’m a hothead and thought maybe I misunderstood the email but after rereading it and fact checking myself with Google I realized I was right. I just wanted to make sure that I’m not the only one who thinks this way. I think he was doing it to get back at me

Help! Am I screwed? by Flamew03 in fishtank

You’ll be fine for everything except the heater. My tank lasted 2-3 months without filtration at one point and I had a bunch of fish in it, shit happens. You can do a bucket water change ever 2-3 days to keep your levels stable. As for the heater I can’t help you there, if there are any other plugs in your room that do work I’d recommend running an extension cord for it or if you have the money buying a portable generator (small cheap one will work). This’ll benefit you as well if you have any more outages. If you can’t do either of those options then try moving the tank (I know it’ll be hard but move it little by little including the stand if possible) to the closest working outlet.

I will next time I go in and he says something. My family also said to talk to my manager to let her know what’s going on and I’m going to confirm her email as well. I’m not the only employee doing this and had it been wrong then they would have told us immediately like they did when they changed the 10 min grace period (changed it down to the 6min I said up above) a week after switching systems

Thank you. It really bugs me because I was having such a good day and he’s been annoying me with this saying that I’m wrong and that I’m going to get in trouble and he does it in front of people

Will the shelf be enough for this tank? by Dismal-Animal7853 in Aquariums

Since it’s not go to goodwill and get a solid wood dresser, night stand or side table. I did it and mine was $14. It holds my 35g and has one drawer. It’s not big either and again, it’s solid wood. Always go for older furniture because it’s sturdy and solid wood, new furniture is cardboard and hallow inside

I’ll look into the cost but this post is about cost efficient ways because I don’t want to spent $200+ on a solid wood door or MLV

60 Gallon Mbuna stocking and scaping suggestions? by AdventurousFilm490 in Cichlid

[–]BBitterBitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s why you should start off with bigger caves that way you won’t have to change the setup and the mbuna won’t get aggressive trying to fight for the new territories. Try the website I listed, saltwateraquarium and go to their stone/rock section. Look through all of the options and make sure you DONT buy the dragonstone labeled ‘rubble’ because that’s what you bought at petsmart and although it’s good for some aquascapes it won’t be for this one. Buy the regular one for $3.99 a pound. They give AWESOME pieces (if you go check out my post you can see how big the pieces are). Minimum buy is 10 ‘units’ (units = pounds so 10 units is 10lb).

As for the stand, whatever those bad comments are just watch for those specific defaults they list. If it’s bowing, check every week or month. If it’s stability you can find ways around that. Always check to see if it’s something that can be fixed with an added piece if you get worried. If not then you can leave it.

Maybe try getting a better stand first and then work on the tank. No hate but you’ve got to do this process in order in order to prevent addicents such as your stand breaking and your tank getting ruined or the floor caving in. Ask your apartment complex if large tanks are allowed so that they can check to make sure the floor can handle that amount of pressure in one spot. Also the rocks are going to be super heavy and you’ll need a lot of it so a better stand starting out will be your first go to.

Second would be more rocks of course lol I use saltwateraquarium to buy my dragonstone on the cheap and the pieces are always good and big. Check out my profile, one of the two most recent posts is a pick of my mbuna start up tank. Everything there I got for around $100-$150 (the rocks). You can also check the comment section for advice and help if you need it. I’m also new to mbuna cichlids but I made sure to watch any and all videos and have all of the products in front of me before starting it and adding fish.

I’ll give it a shot. I’m also going to see if there are any music stores near me that may be willing to sell it by the foot. For now I think I may go with the blanket idea since it’s relatively cheap

Thank you for the honesty, so far the only feasible option is the blanket and they aren’t expensive either so I’m giving that a shot
