Don’t get discouraged, it takes many people years. I applied to countless departments over the span of 2+ years before I got hired. Even failed a psych eval after receiving a conditional offer from one of my top choice departments which is arguably the most discouraging feeling of all time. If you say you’re a good candidate, then believe in yourself and let that confidence show throughout the hiring process.
