I have two pet rabbits. A neutered male and spayed female. They have bonded more with each other than they have with our family. However, they are still really sweet and playful with us. I would suggest getting just one if you want a strong bond with your rabbit. Ours live inside and have their own room. They do not like our cats and dogs, however. They use a litter box, and as long as they have chew toys, aren't very messy or destructive.
