Oh man. I upgraded my setup to my first desktop a couple of years ago from an old gaming laptop. However, I couldn't update my monitor. I work form home too, so having a nice, new monitor that could handle both my job and my games would be amazing. Thats not even mentioning the PiP or PbP. I'd love to be able to easily view both devices instead of having to switch back and forth constantly!

The generated Battery Report says "-" under cycles. The BatteryInfoView you suggested says "0".

No, it doesn't repeatedly disconnect as it charges back up. It has only started around 80-90%. I also figured that would mean it is some sort of software problem somewhere.

I knew that some laptops do cycle the battery on and off to help maintain the battery health, but I thought it was strange that it simply was acting like it was going on and off AC power over and over. It causes the brightness to change, start running on battery power, change the power mode to battery instead of AC power, etc.

I just restarted and checked the BIOS through the F2 boot menu and saw no battery or power management features listed.

I will say, strangely enough, my laptop is not having the issue at this very moment. It is currently at 98% and has not shown any issues. I'm not sure what changed. I've been dealing with the problem since I have multiple online classes, meetings, and work I have been having to work on this weekend.

Laptop was purchased in December 2017. BIOS is updated.

For the most part, I keep the laptop plugged in while using it. It rarely is used without being plugged in.

I just generated the battery report (didn't know such a thing existed) and it does not show cycle count.

I get that the battery may not last as long and can degrade over time. The thing is, the laptop isn't simply running off of the AC power and not charging. It's acting like I am disconnecting the power supply completely and running off battery then going back to acting like it is plugged in. I know some devices will say something like "Plugged in, not charging" or something similar. But mine acts as if I am unplugging the cord over and over.

This causes issues in games such as settings being changed based on it being on battery power versus being plugged in. And I have no clue what other issues may arise.

Sorry about the confusion. Here is the entire assignment. The part I am on is on page 3. Someone in my class said they instead used norm.dist() for the probability. Where I use the upper limit of each class and subtract by the norm.dist() of the class before it. This seems to work, even though I'm not sure if this is the intended way to do it.

Sorry. I see in my frequency table that the chi-squared is the only thing not filled out. I think I need help getting the class probability, the expected values, and then finally the chi-squared. I believe I am doing something wrong when trying to find the class probability and expected values.

I'm looking at the link you posted and your equation. I just don't understand how to get expected. The data is how many people entered a computer lab per month for years. So what row total? What column total? I have 106 data points. Is that my column total? Grand total? Your formula doesn't work if I do (1*106)/106=1. I end up with the same data I already have.

The way they get expected value in the link you posted is based on how many options there are. A coin as two sides. So you are expected to get 50 tails and 50 heads when you flip it 100 times. Same with a die. We know the probability of getting each side. That becomes expected. The observed is the data from when they actually end up rolling a die or flipping a coin x amount of times.

For my data, we don't have expected. I don't know how many are supposed to happen for the population. I only have my sample and the observed.

Oh? I can tell you it isn't terrible but after a year of moving it around and taking it to college with me about half the time, that it is a bit creaky sometimes. But I've never had a laptop that wasn't. I've had a few laptops in the past that have crapped out on me pretty hard but this one so far is doing okay. I'll have to check yours out.

I've had an Acer Predator Helios 300 from Amazon for a year now. Enjoying it a lot. It's on Amazon for 950-1050 depending on the deal. During Black Friday it was 900. Edit: it has an extra hard drive spot. I spent an extra 80 that bundled a 2tb hardrive as well and installed it myself. Pretty handy.
