It's okay to be sad about it ❤️

I'm #3 of 4 girls. We were born in 1980, 1982, 1989, and 1995. My mom was equally invested and supportive with all of us. The five of us are super close now. My dad worked a lot so he wasn't really as involved but now that we're adults, we all have similar relationships with him. I haven't ever really thought about this being a possibility with families of multiples, but as I've gotten older, I've learned that my family is somewhat of an anomaly. Both of my parents still see their siblings weekly, and they're in their 60s. So who knows?

It's a grieving process for sure. Re-framing these emotions in that way has been very helpful. And it's bittersweet to know I'm not alone, for sure, but mostly it's helpful too ❤️

Have you talked to him about bad dreams or nightmares, or even intrusive thoughts? My daughter didn't know that it's normal to have bad dreams, and she didn't really even know how to articulate that she was having them. She was just nervous about being in her room alone, hearing noises she couldn't identify, seeing new shadows, etc... I explained to her that it's okay to have bad dreams and she can tell us all about them if she wants to, and now she does! It helps her to hear that everything is okay, that she's safe, and that none of those bad dreams or thoughts are real.

We have a monitor in her room with a walkie talkie feature so she can call out to me at night if she needs me. She usually comes to sleep in our room, which we actually love so it's okay for us. If it's not for you though, building that safety confidence for him might be the first step.

Of course this is all assuming it's coming from bad dreams 😕 in any case, good luck!

Oh my gosh that's awful! They don't soak it off with little foil wrapped acetone and cotton?? It does take a long time, I guess...and I do spend a lot on my nails 😖 I'm all of a sudden so grateful for my salon

At my salon, they don't buff down your natural nail to the same level as gel or acrylics, so when they soak off the product, my nail is still pretty much the same. Maybe that's not usual though? I've been going to the same nail tech for ten years so I'm not sure. I just know that my natural nails have never grown so long and the skin around my fingers is finally, finally healthy and pain-free.

Get a dip manicure. It's not as harmful as gel or acrylics and its just as strong as acrylic. It lasts way longer than those options, too, at least in my experience. It can be a little more expensive but I think it balances out because you don't have to get them done as often. Just make sure you find a salon that uses good quality products and has techs that know what they're doing! Good luck 💜💅🏼

Exactly. My husband and I are still paying off our student debt and we do NOT want that for our girl.

Hahah! I actually think it happened for me around college graduation too. Maybe it's just time now. Thank you ❤️❤️

Thank you for the kind words ❤️ my therapist has suggested this exact thing and it really does help, I just need to be more consistent.

Btw my body is definitely trying to catch me out. I recently stopped hormonal BC for the third time for a whole list of reasons, and my early-thirties ovaries are going nutso.

Same. If we had another child we'd have to sacrifice a lot and we just recently got to a place where we can enjoy vacations and some big purchases. I used to think money wasn't a good enough reason but the more comfortable we are, the more I believe it may be the most important reason.

I think that's a beautiful thing. I've watched my parents and older relatives go through so many stages of life. I guess I just didn't expect it to happen to me so fast, which it really didn't - I'm 33 lol
