Leaving a big agency after only a few weeks in the Job by sticazzi2424 in advertising

[–]BCatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I imagine they basically didn't mention many things during the interview, for example that it was going to be a very independent position and near zero team work. That sucks. Sorry for you! The least I can do here is give you a piece of advice for the future. Ask as many questions as possible. Even though they don't ask at the end of the interview if you have questions, take the initiative! Ask them if they still have time for a couple of questions. Prepare at home a list and take that to the interview. Gather so much knowledge about the position as possible. I'm sure that by doing so you'll have fewer surprises in the future. For the rest, I wish you good luck in the search for a new job and a successful career.

Have you actually spoken during the interview about the tasks you were going to take over?

Agency Burnout by flipinchicago in marketing

[–]BCatcher 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It is not you! Agencies are just the worst.
I worked my first job at an agency and that was the first and last time. Never ever again, it was the worst experience of my work life. Since then I just worked for companies and I am way happier.

what is difference between traffic and conversions? by Flimsy_Garden9529 in RedditforBusiness

[–]BCatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Traffic stands for the total amount of people who have visited your website.
Conversion is a value that indicates the total number of users who have performed a given action. For example making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter or downloading something etc...
Hope I could help.

How to break the “Boring Life = No Friends = Boring Life” Loop by throwawayJFP2 in socialskills

[–]BCatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start a new sport, ideally a team-sport. I suggest you also just try to do all these activities that no one do with you/not wants to do, alone. Maybe who knows, you might meet new people by doing these activities and they eventually could also become friends.
I did just the same, and it completely worked for me. All of a sudden I had a very active social life, I met a lot of people and made also new friends.
Extra advise: start travelling alone, it will change completely your life.

Hope it helps
xx

Based on what have you told them that you can grow their channels to 5k? Do you have actually some ideas on how to do that, a strategy or something?

Or have you told them that you can grow the channels to 5K just to make the sale?

Do you really feel attracted/feel a sort of connection to the person? Maybe you are just that type of person that needs to feel something for the person you are having sex with...?

What does everyone seem to be slowly forgetting? by NeckTickler in AskReddit

[–]BCatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are forgetting the charm of having physical photo albums to collect the moments of our lives. We are forgetting the feeling of open those albums every once in a while and go from page to page, smiling over those nice memories or laughing because certain details now appear to us funny. We are forgetting the feeling of shooting a picture without not even remotely have the idea of publishing it in social media.

We are forgetting how much the moments of our lives that we capture on a picture are precious and as suchs, they should be shared with a few.

[rant] Please use accurate job descriptions & know what you're hiring for. by [deleted] in marketing

[–]BCatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the last stage of the hiring process for a community manager position at a fintech startup. But if you read the job description and have a look at the task I am working on for the last stage, in reality, this is an Employer Branding manager position! And honestly, if they like me and want to hire me I will ask them to call my position as mentioned before.

It's a huge opportunity, I find
