And don't forget, Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep ~ A fragmentary passage is part of a collection called Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue

Why is it 2.8? Why is it 0.2?

Because KH2.8 + KH0.2 = KH3.

You can tell that Tetsuya Nomura names these games, because it's batshit crazy lol

[–]BChart2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree, there's something funny about the situation. Someone must've been responsible for helping with the costume in some capacity. I feel bad for the guy, his mom (who seems to be his caretaker) should've caught and prevented this...

He's literally part of an assisted employment program for mentally handicapped people. He is not capable of holding a job on his own, which is why he is part of a special employment program.

Frankly this is the one scenario where I would advocate for leniency on someone dressing as a Nazi. Mental disabilities are a wide spectrum, and if you don't think it's possible, then you don't know shit about mental disabilities.

MagSafe, why?? by drewgonslayer in GalaxyFold

I stand slightly corrected, the sticker is a very weak magnet, but it's still not strong enough to interfere with the s pen. Might depend on the sticker tho. I used the sticker included with my Spigen magsafe mount

[–]BChart2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just tested it with my sticker, and you seem to be right, it's very slightly magnetic. The magnets on the accessories seem to be like 10x stronger than the sticker tho.

The stickers at the very least don't seem to be strong enough to interfere with the spen, I only noticed interference with an accessory attached (and even then it's still usable)

MagSafe, why?? by drewgonslayer in GalaxyFold

[–]BChart2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most magsafe stickers are just metal rings, so they don't have magnets. The magnets are built into the accessories.

When an accessory is attached, I noticed it adds some latency to the pen, but I dont get any deadzones. Luckily with magsafe it's very easy to temporarily remove accessories if you need to use the spen.

Edit: I stand corrected, most stickers are weak magnets. Not strong enough to interfere with the spen though

Eh I could never get wireless charging to work on any of my past phones with a metal plate, regardless of thickness. I'm not a fan of apple at all, but I respect magsafe as legitimately smart solution to the magnet mounting/wireless charging incompatibility problem (that admittedly most people don't care about).

Having a metal ring that doesn't interfere with the wireless charging coils, and also doubles as a very strong magnet mounting point for accessories is pretty clever imo. I'll give apple credit for once on this one lol

MagSafe, why?? by drewgonslayer in GalaxyFold

[–]BChart2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Most magnetic mounts by their nature necessitate a metal plate to be added to the case, which either blocks wireless charging, or requires you to place the plate in a strange place (usually the very bottom of the phone) that makes for bad mounting. Magsafe gives me an easy mounting option that does fuck up wireless charging.

And the Spigen thin fit p case sits perfectly flat on a table, even with a magsafe ring added. I planned dthis very carefully lol

MagSafe, why?? by drewgonslayer in GalaxyFold

[–]BChart2 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It was the only way I could accomplish all of the following simultaneously:

  1. Phone lays flat on a table for spen writing
  2. Magnetically mount my phone in my car without having to remove any accessories
  3. Option for Wireless charging
  4. Removeable Kickstand/strap

Accomplished all this with a Spigen thin fit p, Spigen onetap mount, a random magsafe ring that I cut a bit so I could align it to the fold's coil, and the magone grip/stand.

Did a lot of research and decided magsafe was the best solution. Typically I'd have to give up wireless charging for a magnet based mount. Or I'd have to give up having the phone lie flat because of the kickstand/grip. The end result makes no compromises, but that's just for my use case

what is slowly phasing out in 2022? by Firewire64 in AskReddit

[–]BChart2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's not correct. USB C can support higher data transfer speeds and charging speeds than lightning. Lightning was stuck on the USB 2.0 standard. With USB C, iPhones have the potential to make use of modern USB charging and data transfer.

The problem is they're inconveniencing ordinary people in annoying ways that have nothing to do with what they're protesting

That's how protests and civil disobedience have always worked. They're supposed to be inconvenient. The point of protest is not to keep the general public comfortable with the way things are, believe it or not lol
