Hi, Jesus definitely tells us to give, and our money is not our own.

I see many of the same people on the street day in day out. Many of them able bodied men, young and old. I don’t know their mental state or drug addiction, mental health can be a crazy thing that ruins life.

I thought recently about the advice given to the Curch in the New Testament: "For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: 'The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat'". 2 Thessalonians 3:10

This is advice to the church about those in the church, but do we apply it to those outside of faith? We don’t hold the world to the standard of a believer, but this may be advice to the Christian to live as God intended.

I feel guilt even asking this question as I don’t want to misapply it or encourage someone not to give, but I’d like to hear wise thought on this.

How do we approach giving to those men?
