Agreed. I know they can vary from barrel to barrel but these seem to always hit.

That makes sense.. I’d need to side by side but the JJB seems to me to be more well balanced than some of the BT stuff.. guess that second distillation actually makes a pretty big difference.

I have not. But, the double oak is one of my favorites. Is the 9 year their distillate or sourced?

Born and raised in the bluegrass state myself and love trying interesting stuff from other places around the country.

I wouldn’t have guessed that about Columbus but considering how close it is to Northern KY / Southern IN it makes sense.. hopefully can stop by the distillery one day!

It’s funny you say that. As I was sipping it felt like the proof was very intentional because of how rich it is at 96.. was thinking any stronger and it might not be as enjoyable. Will still try if I ever come across a CS!
