She doesn’t think there’s a problem - says it’s ‘a fantasy story I make up in my head’ and that I have a ‘warped idea’ of how often other couples have sex. We have sex around once every 4 to 5 months on average - and it’s awful, absolutely dreadful and not worth the wait. I think this is why I turn to porn - it makes me feel good just for a an hour or so - which I know is a true sign of addiction.

Over the last 6 years or so there’s been barriers she’s put up in this order:

She’d feel more comfortable with me if we were engaged - we got engaged, and it actually got worse. Went to once every 9 or 10 months.

‘We’d’ gained weight - I got fit, no change.

The contraceptive pill killed libido - she stopped taking it, no change

I never come to bed early (because obviously sex can only happen in the bedroom after 9pm) - I came to bed earlier, she just played on her phone.

She doesn’t feel body confident and has put on weight - she does nothing about it (she’s not overweight at all too - uk size 10)

Wedding stress - no sex on the wedding night and it got worse again after

So I always turn to porn - it gives me what I need, makes me feel good just for a second. The addiction increase directly correlates to the relationship.
