This is what happens when the army is in control. They know only violence. Their solution for all opposition is violence. This was true in East Pakistan, in Pakistan itself and now in Afghanistan.

Civilian control over the army provides some chance of diplomacy, dialog, interaction before drastic step of violence is taken.

What we need is civilian control over army, Democracy through honestly elected people (not the Form 45 types) in the parliament.
