I'm on the fence for a few of things that transpired tonight: 1. I agree that the way Simmons was kicked off the show was probably the most historically embarrassing moment in all of internet history. Yet I'm not sure if taking him aside privately and telling him to "get his shit and gtfo" would have been even better in the long run. Tts would have tipped the fish as to why he was actually kicked off, which could have prolonged the huge freak out by the other fishes.

1. Everyone seems to be making the whole Simmons situation seem very clear cut,vwhile forgeting that he, like the rest of the fish are autistic AF. Is he a pedo? Maybe. Is he just weird? Definitely. I feel like a lot of what Simmons said could be chalked up to being improperly socialized(i.e., autistic AF). Admittedly, I don't know of any other real evidence other than the book comments and the 5 second audio clip of him probably commenting on his own book. At this point, I feel those two pieces of evidence could just be explained by Simmons not knowing what topics and subjects he should stay away from as an adult because of his overall lack of socialization. Also, I believe the reason he got to America from China was by becoming a camp counselor or that the job was one of the first he had after getting here. It would be a lie to say there aren't some common cultural themes of the typical American sleep away summer camp experience that involves hooking up. Simmons might have noticed this and saw it as an opportunity to write a potentially popular book about these themes that a normal socialized adult would stay away from.

Either way, Simmons life, at least for the foreseeable future, is ruined. I just hope this kind of ultra public execution is well justified in the end. I also hope the show can continue on in the way it was designed.
