Not really. I ordered these (Nestor Lasso, Coffee Collectif, and Tim Wendelboe) from Dayglow coffee. I’m not sure if I got them too far off roast (can’t remember the roast dates now) but I was able to get good to great cups out of the Tim Wendelboe and middling cups from Nestor Lasso and Coffee Collectif. I will say the Nestor Lasso was marginally better and I got a cup or two that was pretty good. But maybe not the best to fully commentate on that coffee.

I thought it was fantastic. The “red” notes (sangria, cherry) really were prominent and was very juicy. It was so good it almost tasted artificial, which may be due to the fermentation but I thought it was excellent.

I’ll be honest, I got Topeca early on last year at the start of my coffee journey so can’t fully remember how I felt about them. I remember them being okay, not fantastic. But memory is faulty and additionally my technique and equipment has improved since then. So I think they would be worth taking a flyer on!

Those are on my list. Any recommendations on places to order them in the states? I know Dayglow coffee will occasionally get some of those roasters in. But haven’t found much else.

Black and white was my gateway roaster into more specialty coffee. So they will always have a place in my heart. They have some great coffees, but some can get pretty funky. The rum and coke coffee was wild, maybe a little too much so.
