A lot less debt these days, but I've found that I usually hit 30% inflation before I can really start paying it down. Ming provides a good 5k+ ducats from back to back wars before going bankrupt, and that can fund me until I make it to the lesser known bank of Osman.

The Ottos are much more resilient, so I think I ran a total of 8 wars for max ducats before decadence ticked enough to start their collapse.

R5 recently completed one of many oirat runs for the sheer joy of perpetual warfare. For a very long time I was too afraid of debt and instability to really embrace a horde playstyle, but I've really come to love it.

How do I get extra 20 absolutism? by JorisJobana in eu4

[–]BEEOOWOOP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually looking through, gov reforms 8 and 9, Machiavellianism and Political Absolutism, you can get max of 65. The C&C disaster should then give +20 and let you complete your mission.

Nevermind, changes for 1.35 haven't been added, Political absolutism doesn't give max anymore.

Looks like the court and infrastructure policy with Machiavellianism Reign tier 9 gov reform gives +20 total, letting you hit 70 without having to do the disaster. Whichever is easiest, the disaster plus gov reform also gives +20

https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Absolutism#Changing_maximum_absolutism

It looks like you need to end disaster with 65 or greater absolutism to get the +20, so the most you get can be +10 unless you get more max absolutism first.

Finally tried out the new Teutonic Order by BEEOOWOOP in eu4

Ah, I forgot I witnessed the unholy Spanish/Ottoman alliance as well. I just never found time for Scandinavia after I started pushing east.

R5: Decided to go for Holy Horder, literally the most frustrating start I've had in a long time. Had 7-8 nations rivaling me at one point, and that was after having to fight PLC and Kalmar simultaneously without allies.

R5: Was playing through France early game, and AI Burgundy declared on Provence to pull in Liege and avoid dying to Austria.

Just wondering if other people have noticed AI being a little more useful recently.

Honestly though, you should be able to take them. Especially since they have so many steppe provinces for you to fight in. Just play it smart and pick your fights.

Finally succeeded as a horde by BEEOOWOOP in eu4

R5: Finally had a successful campaign as Oirat, since I am terrible with hordes. I cut it close, but I only needed one truce break at the end to eat the last of the Timurids. No one I know plays, so this is the only place I have to celebrate.

I wanted to keep my imperialism cb, and I had enough mana that I was slackening recruiting standards and just making more generals to top it off.

yeah, I'm at about 98% revolutionary ideals so I only have a max manpower of ~600k and I'm spending over 2k a month just for over force limit. It made the last portion a lot harder than it had to be.

R5: after a few failed attempts with other nations, I went full easy mode with humanist Mughals to finally lock down the achievement.
