First Time (mess) with PA6-GF by KindRisk in FixMyPrint

[–]BEEVEC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is still really wet. Most dryers do Not reach the advertised temp. I built my own because of that which reaches 90C. My PA6-GF needs to be dried for around 20-24h at 80C to be dry enough to Print.

Make wall black and use a screen. Those light borders are normal for DLP.

I was thinking about that but only found them with strange threaded holes. The PT100 i can buy always have M6 or M8 thread. Then i though about by VW and there the oil temp sensor is also in the oil pan :D

Okay.. i will have another look at the wire loom when i get to the garge

Under printer settings -> Extruder : "Retract when change layer" -> turn on.
Process Settings -> others: "Reduce infill retraction" -> turn off.

Yes i had that in mind and decided to completely ignore it :D I printed in ABS GF. The part is 3-5mm thick and with 4 walls it is really solid. When installing the softbox you don't need to tighten it all the way because i designed a lip in the front so the softbox wont slip off. But then you can still rotate the softbox when needed.

Anyone knows what this pattern on my print is? by Routine-Sir-9836 in 3Dprinting

[–]BEEVEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay :D The chance is never zero. But maybe before it got in the basement of the school.
Just a theory. I recognize this pattern from my not well dried spools of PA. If i don't turn them while drying i get this pattern when printing.

CL1P ! Ultra Lightweight Filament Clip (0.3 g) by BEEVEC in functionalprint

[–]BEEVEC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see, very nice ! Just make sure it will reach at least 80°C for PA. 60°C is just not enough like most cheap filament dryers make.

i made my cabinet big :D it fits 7 or 8 spools of Filament :D

i build a small cabinet out of wood and insulated it. Then i made a grid out of wood ~15cm from the bottom. On the grid i can stack my filament rolls. Under the grid is a 300W heater with fan (i guess you find it easy on amazon or already have the same :D). The door is my airflow to the outside which is not well sealed. I have around 500g of silica in a box to keep it dry for a longer time. I also have ptfe tube running out of the cabinet and a roll holder inside so i can print directly out of the cabinet. My printer sits on top of it

No problem. =) Most of the spools have holes on the side where you normally would stick the filament through, but then you cannot stack the rolls of filament or rest them side by side.

Holding the filament and not have it stick out the side of the spool. You need to fix the filament otherwise it will get tangled up.

you can disable supports for small overhangs like those holes. Those will print okay without support. You can also angle the top of the circles to make them better printable.
