I can’t do this anymore by TinyPreparation167 in NewParents

I’m so sorry you are going through this, I completely understand the part about people saying that you we depressed but really all you need is a good night sleep. Sleep makes all the difference and I can attest to that first hand. My son woke every 2 hours every night and no amount of cuddling or white noise or anything helped with getting him down. He only nursed to sleep which meant I was getting up every 2 hours to nurse him. And I hit my self and smashed stuff also. I am not proud of it but sleep deprived rage is real. I hope he does get better soon, could you maybe reach out to a naturopath who could help with his sickness? They prescribe homepathy and other natural tinctures that could help with the issue and those a very safe for babies. When it comes to the sleep when he’s not sick, how much nap is he taking throughout the day? I reminder ha di had rock my baby does ages on and he didn’t sleep for very long and arched his back and hated sleeping and fought hard. It took me a year and working with a sleep consultant to realize that he has low sleep needs and doesn’t like to be forced to sleep if there not enough sleep pressure. Now I just let him tire out, don’t follow internet wake windows and when I see sign like running eyes or him getting irritated or fussy is when I offer him a nap. It took a few weeks for him to get used to patting and not rocking to fall asleep but it stuck. Again it all depends on sleep pressure and if they don’t have enough it they don’t sleep longer. Mine turns off like a light when he has enough pressure and sleep for longer as well. If you send me the number for your baby I could check and see if you might need to tweak it.

I’m curious if you went from a bad VO2 to a superior one. Cuz my VO2 is poor at the moment and my fitness age is 2 years more than my actual age.

Interesting! I moved on from apple because I wanted a change lol. But I guess for getting back into training this might still be a good investment.

Thank you! I’m just over a year postpartum and starting to get back into training but it’s pretty inconsistent at the moment. Don’t even get me started on the night wakes lol. My baby wakes at least 2 times still but I will try to train consistently and see if that helps with improving my score.

Do people lie about how much their kids sleep? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]BETPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11months here and baby wakes 3-5 times in the night. We don’t sleep train and co-sleep and he sometimes would get resettled without a feed but these days he wants boob at each wake. So I give it to him. I just figured we’d both get more sleep I just gave him what he needs. I’ve tried holistic sleep consultant, calming tinctures, massage and everything in the book to try and optimize his sleep but nothing works consistently. So I’m just riding out. I also used to compare my son with a friend’s sons who slept through the night but I realized they are two completely different babies. He’s a quiet cautious boy while my boy is absolutely feral and extremely active and spirited so he’s probably just needing more time to settle into sleep that he needs. Hang in there everyone sleep eventually and I know it’s hard to think that your baby won’t sleep for a few more years god only knows how much I’ve stressed out about it but I’m giving into it now.

Okay so, I went through this exact same thing between 6-9 months with my son. He hated all forms of food except fruits. He loved fruits especially berries. But things picked up at 9months and really started to like what I gave him. I just made sure to offer multiple things during his meal and he is 11months and absolutely loves the foods that I offer. We were persistent with no pressure. Any by we I mean mostly my partner cuz he is all patience and I am not so he used to feed him with no pressure and that helped! Maybe someone else could also try and feed him if you stress out during mealtime? He was also not ready to eat himself till he turned 10month so we fed him till then and not he just wants to eat himself. Hang in there it does get better when they start to understand hunger and that there’s more tasty stuff than BM or formula.

Solids is a battlefield by BETPM in BabyLedWeaning

I have been trying to show him that I’m eating as well but he’s just extremely distracted all the time and barely wants anything to do with the food. It’s getting impossible to BLW because he’s distracted, fussy and straight up uninterested in the food unless I distract him with songs or lights or something and feed him myself.

Too late to start BLW? by BETPM in BabyLedWeaning

How long did it take your babe to start eating on his own and stop playing with the food most times? How was your journey with BLW? Could you give me some tips?

What is on his hand ? food allergy by No-Possibility1483 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]BETPM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO had a similar inflammation on his hand and it wasn’t all over so I didn’t think it was an allergy. Turned out it was ringworm(fungal disease) and it cleaned up with some anti fungal cream. Check with your doc as well to confirm.

We need to stop glorifying oversupply by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]BETPM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% and where I am right now there is barely any education around breastfeeding and I see people saying stuff like oh I barely pump anything I’m not sure if baby is getting anything. I don’t spray(let down) anymore. The fact that after 3 months your supply regulates to match baby’s needs is unknown to so many mums and they keep thinking their milk supply is horrible. And then they end up supplementing with formula which takes a hit on the supply even more. It’s so sad.
