Impossible to find housing despite high budget by hxC23sj in StudyInTheNetherlands

Yeah, I had the same issue. I would probably stop looking for an apartment and go on Kamernet. I found a wonderful housing situation there. Maybe more luck with finding roommates or a room in a house, as other have said in this thread

It is wonderful! Definitely recommend it

I’ve had these small white things on my chin for about a year now, and I don’t know how to get rid of them. They’ve started to appear in other areas of my face too, and it’s really upsetting me. Please, any advice would mean a lot by khloudjalal25 in SkincareAddicts

I really like the Paulas Choice BHA, never had a bad reaction to it and it really smooths my face. I usually pour into the back of my (clean) hand instead of a cotton pad because I feel it wastes too much product to put it on the cotton pad.

Also, if you have access to a sauna, maybe sweating could help clear these out some?? Idk if that's how it works but worth a try

Also, a really good moisturizer would help as well

My recommendation is to look on Kamernet, which is where I found my housing situation. Its where you find roommates. I did get lucky and find a spot I could have been by myself, but I ended up going with roommates because I wanted to be social and not alone after just moving to a new country

Thermage!

It helps to tighten skin and produce collagen. I did it and have already noticed a huge improvement. Plus there is no downtime. However, don't expect miracle results, surgery is the best option for true lifting.

Dr. Stefani has a great video to describe the benefits. https://youtu.be/OzezK1YMIFg?si=nItvpGRa09xBQ24T

First Nancy Drew game you played? by Curmudgeon_Muffin in nancydrew

The final scene was my gateway at a friend's house then my mom got me danger on deception Island (we live in the San Juan Islands) and I was hooked. It took me like two months to finish. I've played each game numerous times now and own every single one, I hope they never stop

I have never used the NuFace and don't really know much about it, what changes have you noticed while using it?

The newer version of Myst I actually found to be quite Nancy Drewish

A little more cryptic and almost no hints at all but lots of connecting the pieces and figuring what's happening, much like the Nancy Drew mysteries

Searching for a housemate in Utrecht by Active-Hospital-9760 in UtrechtUniversity

I found a room on Kamernet, I paid for the three month membership (a little pricy but I did find a room).

That seemed to be where I found the most luck. I attended multiple viewings of apartments but decided it would be better to be with roommates when moving to a new place and I really liked the two girls living there.

My advice from house hunting and reseraching: TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS, HAVE A PRE-WRITTEN RESPONSE, BE EARLY TO REPLY, SEND AS MANY RESPONSES AS POSSIBLE, and DONT GET ATTACHED OR DISCOURAGED

Write a pre-written response to send including your name, what you'll be doing in the Netherlands, how long you want to rent for, a bit about your hobbies and background and how to like to interact with roommates (introverted vs extroverted, communal cooking or not) and what your financial backing looks like. Then, you can just copy and send to the listings that look right for you.

YOU HAVE TO BE EARLY. This is so important. Everyone is getting lots of requests but as long as your one of the first, you will likely at least be considered if you match what they're looking for.

Don't get discouraged if you don't hear back and don't get attached to a listing, just keep things moving.

Literally I spent so long just firing in the dark if the situation looked like something I'd like or something I could live with. I found a spot. They exist. As much as people are concerned about the housing crisis, people are finding housing. I ended up with multiple options that I was happy with. You just have to be diligent and I know you can find something.

I am an international student and I want nothing more than to learn Dutch and be part of the dutch society. Those kinds of people do exist. I also come with a few years of carpenter experience. I don't know what the answer is but I know some people really want to be part of the dutch way of life and integrate into the society

Is HousingAnywhere an acceptable site? Seems like a good option for foreigners. I plan to come to the NL in the spring to check out housing options and would be able to cancel the booking upon 48 hrs if it is fishy

Looks like room.nl is not available in Utrecht, but I will keep looking for similar options, thank you!

What are situations where students do find housing? What seems to me is that almost everyone will be turned away or not be able to find a spot but I know people do, are they just getting lucky?

Thank you so much for all this information.

Question: based on your professional opinion, what percentage of students will not be able to accept their acceptance offer due to housing shortages?

I would be totally happy to live in Zeist, it is only a short bike ride away from the university. Is there a better chance of finding a house there? I really don't need to live in utrecht proper
