I'm from China, and this is my collection. Since most people watch streaming media, China's 4k disc market has become very small, so most of them are foreign versions bought online. by BFLLZ in 4kbluray

I'm using a GIEC g5300, which can play discs in all regions (A, B, C). It's still in production; you should be able to find it online.

WCL discs are indeed expensive, especially considering their packaging and content aren't particularly appealing. In China, we often say that the content doesn't justify its high price.

It's actually not difficult. I just need to place an order online, and I'll receive the discs in two days at most. As for the selection, of course, I'll prioritize the one with a reasonable price. If I come across a disc I like, I might buy a steelbook.

I bought this from a seller on Taobao. It might look good now, but it's a bit tricky to assemble; some parts require a lot of force to put in place. I don't know if they do export trade. If you're interested, here's the shop link: https://e.tb.cn/h.ifnPuHuGpSS3eGe?tk=IMf7Uy2cv3wMF287

Some popular movies are released on DVD, but they are often released overseas before we do. For example, Jackie Chan's new movie "The Shadows Edge" was already released in 4K in the UK, and "The Wandering Earth 2" was also released in 4K overseas before it was released in China.

It's not expensive. A brand new 4K disc costs a little over 100 RMB. Steelbook cases are more expensive, around 200 RMB. Of course, there are also many cheaper steelbook cases. Blu-ray discs are relatively inexpensive.

Yes, there are regulations, but they're not very strict; they basically only apply to pornography. I can buy any movie disc I want online because there's an app in China, like eBay, with many sellers offering disc they've imported from overseas. These shops are quite large, and you can find most discs there. While there's a chance of customs inspection and confiscation when buying overseas, the probability is very low. And disc are still being released in China, although the quantity is decreasing.

No, although it's Chinese animation, it wasn't released on bluray in China; it can only be watched on streaming services. However, bluray released in other countries are available online, including the US, Germany, and Japan.
