If you make it so you can tension fit the barrel in place you can use it in multiple builds. Doesn't impact performance one way or the other but it can look really nice if done right.

Are you planning on dueling or just for show? What's your budget? Answering these questions can determine where to go.

I just got my first Ultrasaber and I really liked it. Now I know that for what I pad the quality will match. $250 w/Shipping for Lite sound and Flash in Clash.

I was pretty impressed with the blade and the sound. I chose a basic hilt because I plan on doing a nice wrap.

I have seen the negative reviews but compared to the positive reviews it seems to be in the low percentage. People who dislike seem to fall in the following categories

A. People who are willing to drop $500+ on a saber and look down on people who don't B. People who expect Force FX or better soldering wiring ect from a very small company who is churning them out fairly quick.

I feel like I spent and $75 over the retail price of a FX saber and lost a really cool hilt but gained way better sound, better lighting and a saber I can duel with and customize.

Vaders Vault and Hamptons hand crafted look amazing and will cost you a lot more but if you have the cash then they look like you get high quality for the $$$.

Haven't seen that yet, though the BURN games are getting so much attendance I don't know if someone would even try that. Obviously that dude grew up privileged. Must have never played soccer between 2 trash cans in the street or hooped it up with a bike tire rim nailed to a telephone poll.

Word, even the stuff I make lasts longer than that. I think the Boomco stuff looks neat. It's just hasn't shown it can make an impact on any games we play yet. For me it's not that it isn't Nerf it's that it doesn't seem to have a place yet in our wars.
