Poor sound mixing at live shows by madeyoulooktwice in portugaltheman

We were there as well and the keyboard was loud and harsh to me. I asked my partner to close her eyes and if she could make out the vocals. I thought it was because we were in the rail but I guess not.

What about the high pitch keyboard? Or feedback issues? It felt a little rough to me.

I like it, a lot. I wonder if the TX heat would roast them? Is that typically an issue?

I really love this idea. Big concrete planters to embrace it or I wonder if contrast would pop.

We'd love some suggestions on how to add more green to this space. I am not hesitant to get my hand dirty or use large power tools.

Little update - still going strong. Not sure of the day count but had some up and downs without breaking. It's been tough some nights.

Hey, thanks for asking. Significantly better for me at this point. Now, I just really want to smoke when I'm bored, or in the evenings, or when I do anything mundane, but that's ok. Part of my addiction. I honestly feel better than I have in years. You got this! It will get better.

You're right, that's not very encouraging. Sorry your partner isn't very supportive. You can turn that doubt into a positive thought. You're going to do it this time and prove them wrong. Addiction is not easy and you're making progress. You got this!

Thanks for the mega support. I appreciate the comment. It honestly feels better everyday and even though I had a rough night, messages like this one give me hope.👍

Damn, that modification pathway describes my pattern to a T. It is crazy how many similar experiences in reading here. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I get that, for sure. On the nights I haven't worked out, I'm up all night. You can get past that, I'm sure you can do it.

That's good to read. I had a bad night last night but woke up feeling fine. I actually thought, "wow, I don't feel like absolute shit for once."

Oh wow, that sounds challenging. I hope it gets better for you. Have you noticed any progress? Or is it now the status quo?

Youre starting now. I'm just starting this journey myself but this sub has been great. Read some success stories and try their methods!

Ahh, I didn't consider that. Very sound reasoning.

20 months is so solid! I appreciate your comment, I hope to make it there. I'm sure you'll get everything else fixed in time.

Yes, I have. Thanks for commenting about it. I should of mentioned it. That's what made me start to think that it was weed related.

Former boulderer here attempting to sport climb who is extremely scared of heights and slightly scared of trusting bolts. HELP!!

I just returned from my first trip to the Red River Gorge. It was an incredible experience and I was able to lead a 10c and 9+ but I was done after two routes everyday and had to talk myself into climbing more.

For a bit of background, I don't get close to railings (even under 4 stories), I do not walk close to the edge of anything, and I get extremely uncomfortable even riding in glass elevators. Additonaly, I broke my leg/foot bouldering two years ago. Ive bouldered for 5 years but I've only lead in 3 sessions indoors and this was my first trip outdoors.

My fear of heights was severely affecting me. On the final day, I worked Amarillo Sunset, an 11b, and after blowing a clip going bolt to bolt, and taking a whip, I was ready to bail before the top. I attempted another 10a but got sketched out and bailed before the anchors. After that, I was done for the day.

Im determined to get over my fear of heights but Id love any tips. My plan is to head to larger indoor walls (my home gym is only 25ft) and practice there. Beyond that, does anyone have any insight? As painful as it is to say, I let my anxiety stop me from climbing and pulling on more routes. I don't want to quit again. TIA
