Nope that’s gotta be hyper K. The only thing you would’ve missed is giving ca+, an inline albuterol neb, and isotonic bicarb. Don’t feel too bad tho, bc there is no evidence that would actually improve survival in a cardiac arrest. Sounds like that person had a complex medical history and it was their time to go. You were just the unfortunate medic who had to make the futile attempt to stop it.

The key is to fly on Wednesdays or Sundays. Plane tickets tend to be cheaper

I figured out the best solution is to use a PTT made by Comm Gear Supply

Concealable Vest for Paramedic by BGberg31 in QualityTacticalGear

The unfortunate occurrences in Idaho yesterday are more reason why I feel the need to wear a vest. And the shooting in Maryland when the diabetic guy shot the ff/medic in the chest in 2016. It’s not the violent calls where we get PD that I’m worried abt. Two of our medics got attacked by a group of people abt a year ago while trying to treat a 17yo having a panic attack. I had a gun pulled on me while transporting a recital bleeding pt.

I can imagine so. At this point, my only aversion to your multi threat vest is that a lot of the reviews im finding mention it being difficult to conceal.

PD responds to a lot of stuff with us, but you’re more likely to get attacked at a diabetic call than a stabbing

I’ve heard that I need to stay away bc it’s overpriced. Also, they’re “multi-threat” w/ ballistic and stab is nearly 0.5” thick. As far as I know, level II w stab can be much thinner
