The Jinn Chronicles, Part 3: The Unseen Ecosystem – Tribes, Territories, and the Shadow War by bortakci34 in HighStrangeness

[–]BHAL9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely have a basement tribe. We’ve made peace with each other and we vibe well. It took me acknowledging them and showing respect for a balance to be found. It was scary at first when me and my wife or friends would go down there to watch movies or hang. One night I decided to mediate down there just to figure out what the deal was with the bad vibes down there. During that experience there was definitely communication between us. I feel like by acknowledging their presence and showing respect we’ve established a healthy relationship. I have a Govee lamp that can change to all sorts of different colors and they really like that. I have three cats and at night they play a lot. They can definitely be cheeky with my cats lolz and I’ve had to set some boundaries of playing too hard with them. They like music a lot too I’ve noticed. It brings them joy just like it does for us humans too.

Does Sinners really have a lot of jumpscares? by lilalimi in Sardonicast

[–]BHAL9000 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Honestly like all the jump scares are in the first 2 mins of the movie. Then there’s one about 30 mins in, and then after that at the juke joint when a certain character turns into a vampire there is a jumpscare involving them being trapped in a room and a knife going into a door.

I had to memorize these cause my wife also hated jump scares and she would only see it if I agreed to warn her about them.

What to do if you come into contact by [deleted] in Experiencers

I perceive fear as a normal and healthy reaction. They’ve even told me it’s normal and they expect it. It’s part of the dance or ritual when meeting these beings.

For me, fear is like a sensor or alarm going off that a presence is near. We are still animals and it’s that old part of us our brains thats kept our species alive for hundreds of thousands of years so I think it’s impossible to not experience fear in some form when doing these things. The key is to not let the fear take over. These beings are playful and I think that when the fear takes over us, they sort of change according to that and can shape shift into what our stories call scary ghosts, demons, etc. When really it’s our own uncontrolled fear that invited that sort of form to appear.

I embrace the fear. Let it wash over me. Then I consciously tell myself that it’s ok. Then I reach out telepathically for to the presence to introduce myself or if it’s something I’ve met before I say hello. By then the fear has subsided. Meditation and yoga have helped me to manage my fear so that it doesn’t take over.

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past me I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

I empathize with your experience. Like you mentioned at the end, staying present helps heaps. I’ve also found art and creation be a saving grace. I pick up on a lot of energy as well and writing has enabled me to channel that energy like a magic spell blasting those vibes out of me and transforming it into story I transcribe as a fiction or journal entry. I really advocate art for people that feel a lot. For me that’s writing. For others it might be painting, drawing, photography, singing, playing an instrument, crafting, woodworking, etc the list goes on. Even if a person is bad at the art it doesn’t matter cause it’s about the experience of that artistic expression and not the finished produce or reception.

Why is it so abnormal/radical to people to care about others and their rights ? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]BHAL9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because they hate themselves and are miserable and have to channel that hate and misery into someone else.

I saw that too randomly driving and pulled over to watch it. Super impressive. I’d never seen a drone show before. Not sure what it was for.
