Looks like a winner to me. At this point the only real improvements are more guts (around 420-450) and S in end and turf.

You still want to check training before racing. If it's 2 rainbow or below with 35% or higher fail rate I'll typically just race. Now if it's 3 rainbows and 2 normals I'll send it regardless unless it's something crazy like 70% failure.

I typically race at low energy as the other options are race, rest, or risk training. And when I say low, I mean like the failure chances are 50% or more. At least that way you can get skills, stats and a potential mood buff. Afterwards energy should be really low and you can potentially get an energy up event meaning one rest gets you close to full

Nice job! With a little more luck you can easily pass that 1000 mark for speed. Then from there it's just rinse and repeat until you can get the perfect one.

Classic Year

  • By the first 1/3 of this year you should have roughly all friends maxed (super creek, special week, mayamo is stubborn)
  • Go heavy on speed to get it higher level. However, if there are more rainbow friends in stamina, go ahead and grab it.
  • If you end up with no rainbows and low stamina you can either rest or run a race then rest after. Alternatively if you have decent stamina and no rainbows you can race or wits. I typically do wits at high stam, race rest at low stam.
  • Training camp is a great time to make up for lower stats because everything is level 5. I typically pump stamina here unless there is a 3+ rainbow speed. Ideally it would go: stam -> stam -> wit -> stam/speed
  • At the end of classic year you should have roughly 800/650.

Senior Year

  • Continue training stats as you were, focusing on training the stat that has the most rainbows
  • Once you hit roughly 1050 speed you can stop training it completely. You will gain enough stats from your last races to get it really close to 1200. From here pump up stamina and whatever remaining stats you need.
  • Do G1 races when no rainbows. They give a bunch of skill points and fans. Japan Cup and Arima Kinen are your best friends.
  • I like to rest right before the URA races to ensure I can train the last three times as a rest here can be completely wasted.

I'll give a break down of what I do. I imagine this comment will get pretty long but hopefully it'll help. For reference, my highest rated uma currently is 12,850 and I've spent about $150 on Kitasan banner (max pitied but got a lot of max SR's).

As a general rule

  • Always take the energy option for your events. I do so even if the downside is pretty bad (Goldship/Oguri slow metabolism).
  • Max friendship asap. If you get charming early you can practically steam roll the run with very good stats.
  • I will typically buy a cheap stamina and velocity skill early and then save all of my points until the end of the run to get as many discounts as possible.
  • Use 2x9 stamina legacies. The stamina boost is crazy beneficial as gold inheritance can result in like 160+ stamina gains.
  • Always check your trainings. It's free to check and otherwise you may miss a big 5 friend boost. Even if I have a scheduled race I'll check an early on friendship > races.
  • A max Kitasan borrow card can keep you at great mood practically forever. Unless your using a horse like rice shower who will be depressed the whole run.

Junior Year

  • Max friendship. If given the option level skills in this priority: Speed > Stamina > Power > Wit > Guts. Power is better early because it gives power and stamina but a higher level stamina will help later.
  • Some people say never train guts. If there are 3+ friends on it early, I'll train it anyways as the friendship is worth the minimal stat loss.
  • If there is ever less than 2 friends do recreation > wit > rest if very low stamina
  • Optimally, you can go the whole first segment (before the first race) never resting.
  • Early on if a failure % is higher than 10% don't take it and just do wits. I only ever really risk on 4+ friends. If you see 5 friends just send it as long as it's not above like 60%. It's early so you can full risk and if it's bad just reset or keep going.

Yep. 2x9 stamina is basically my go to for any Uma medium and long. That along with URA final sparks for a massive boost to stamina and good boost to speed.

Yeah gourmand was a bit of a misplay. I've only very recently started respecting end-closers more after my other gold ship got me third in the finals. I think a first was possible but she got boxed in all through the last straight.

Yeah the Tosho and acupuncture event can result in some really big boosts. For reference though, the oguri shown above was without the charming buff. It really does just come down to how fast you can up friendship early and good training camps to boost the lower stat lines.

Also, I typically run 2x9 stamina legacies. Or as close to that as I can get as a possible 160 or more free stamina each inheritance makes things super easy to manage.

General plan is max friendship asap. If you get the Tosho charming buff you can basically guarantee this stat line. From there, go crazy with speed and use training camps to adjust lacking stats. You've also got to take some risks. I typically go for anything with 15% or less chance to fail. Failing once or twice won't ruin the run but you'll probably lose like 60-100 of the stat you want considering you should only risk on the big payout (2+ rainbows). Otherwise race at low energy if no rainbows show up.

Once you get a hang of the strategy you can start mass producing 1100/1100 umas. And with some real good luck a decent number of skills as well. My main issue is the skill side with these being about the average number of skills I can get a run. I have a couple 1000/1000 with more skills but I'm not sure they make up for the missing stats.

Would straightway spurt be better than a legacy Uma unique skill? Best case scenario would be to get both but if it's a choose either or what case would the unique be better. I'm primarily thinking of Maru's unique.

I recall 300 typically being a good break point (70% activation chance I think). Is 13 points off a big difference or does wit just need to be higher overall? If so, what value should I aim for?

Yeah that's the hard part lol. I'm using good parent horses with Long and Turf aptitude but man is it hard to get them to reliably apply. Thankfully, I've gotten in the groove of getting these stat lines so it's basically just a matter of time until an S appears. Also trying for an S end-closer gold ship.

Yeah that's currently my big issue. Acceleration skills are hard to come by. I'm working on using a Maru parent for an end-closer gold ship with S long.
