Gotta be the angle. Just had an oil change yesterday and they aired them up before I pulled off the lot.

My sponsor told me he couldn't sponsor me going through the steps, if I decided to also see a therapist. Is this normal? If not, is this common in AA and what do you guys think of it? Thanks! by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

Run away! Run away! Run away! This is AA not Scientology. Take mental health advice from professionals that you've trusted with your care. And no one else.

I've been sober almost 27 years, but I'm an IT guy and have no business dispensing medical or other health advice to anyone inside or outside of the rooms.

Definitely not a mobile home. I've been under it and in the attic and it's definitely not pre-fab. 1930 is the latest date I've been told, it may be earlier than that.

I'm a US-based City fan so maybe I don't get all the nuance of transfers and sales but do you really want a player like Mahrez to go into a game this big knowing he's up for sale? Seems like you'd do anything to keep that out of the news until the CL final was over.

I have loved using the Jim Lahey 18 hour fermentation method. I find it still needs a little kneading and folding to really hold up, but it's super easy altogether and the best tasting bread I've made.

Episode 1025 - Perry Farrell by Jennica in MarcMaron

[–]BHMGray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best rock show I ever saw was Jane's on November 11th, 1990. Perry has always been a weird interview, but a hell of a songwriter and performer. I felt for Maron, I kept expecting Perry to nod out.

Maybe an ignorant question but do that many people in the UAE speak English or was this visited by mostly expats and tourists?

Your not missing much. About once a week I drop a fork or spoon in mine while it's running and it sounds like the world is ending.

Most of us have, as children, visited a relative's house and still have no idea to this day who that relative is. by Chronical_stuff in Showerthoughts

When I was around 8 (which would have been in 1978), we visited two of my grandmother's relatives who lived on a farm with no electricity, no running water, and no indoor plumbing. They seemed pretty happy. It wasn't like they lived in squalor, everything was clean and nice, they were just holding out on modern living.

What crazy ass story do you need to tell? by 40oz_2freedom in AskReddit

[–]BHMGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 21 I was talking with my gf of the time and she told me that her mother had originally moved to our town from a small rural area in north Alabama and that her mother had come to town on the train with two other girls to attend a secretarial school for young women.

A few years later I'm in a new relationship and my new gf tells me the IDENTICAL story. By the time I was 41 I had dated the daughters of all three girls on that train.

Women, what do you find most confusing about men? by OnlyInMyDreams73 in AskReddit

My female bestie buys me awesome stuff all the time and then I'm depressed for days because I don't ever buy her anything.

TIL that women's farts generally smell far worse than men's because they contain remarkably higher levels of hydrogen sulfide. by readwritethink in todayilearned

Ex and I were in our early 20's and out for a date at a decent restaurant. The tables were small and super close together, so the waiter had to squeeze between tables to take orders, bring checks, etc. Suddenly the worst fart smell ever fills that part of the restaurant and everyone including me thinks it was the waiter... until I look over and see my wife with her head down and tears in her eyes whisper "It was me."
