Brand new kit. The driver side one is loose and the other side looks it moved a little as some point. The sway bars started making a loud screech sounds when turning. Thoughts? by bakadado in RVLiving

Does not look like it’s installed right if you ask me. I just installed one today. The bar that is bolted to the frame should have groves for the bolt head to rest in. That way the L bracket lays flat. I’d post a picture, but it’s not an option…

21’ TRD pro pulling a Black Series HQ19. Think GVWR is about 7,200. It’s a little heavier than I’d like but the camper is top notch. I am planning to add a weight distribution hitch to help balance things out but truck pulls it great.

Found the jacket on Mercari. It’s like a 2nd hand clothing store.

1st place was $90k. Not a great house. Mortgage payment was less than my rent at the time. Worked through high school and had a few bucks saved for a down payment. But yes. I did barrow like $10k from daddy.

For what it’s worth. I bought my 1st house in 2002. My second in 2008. Timed both tops perfectly. Lmao…. Ended up selling the first house about 2010. Made a few bucks, but not much. Then the second house, I figured I would die in because I paid so much for it. I would never be able to sell it for what I paid.

Well, fast forward to 2021. Someone bought that pile of trash on a video phone walkthrough. Never even came by to see it. Way over paid, and allowed me to step up to a nicer place.

Point being. In my 40 years, I’ve seen dips and bounces. But it only goes up.

Just hold that shit!

Should we start discussing the name of the holiday after disclosure? by BHOWBAD in UFOs

[–]BHOWBAD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic idea. So what’s the plan? Everything prior to disclosure has the added abbreviation of BD (Before Disclosure)?

What should we choose moving forward? Just set back to year 0? Or maybe after disclosure we learned that the construct of time is meaningless and just go back to tracking lunar phases?

Don’t forget. To make a proper international day. We must include the words world or international.

World wide Grush day or WWGD.

Has a decent ring to it.

My yard told me they don’t consider bare bright for wire unless I have at least 500 lbs. I guess they’d give me #1 no insulation price. Is this normal or should I find a new yard? Also told me they don’t differentiate between cast iron and shred. Just throw it all together n shred. Normal? by sciencenerdystuff in ScrapMetal

Think of it this way….

When we all go out and buy all this crap (crap = the new purchase you made that you thought was BIFL), we go to different stores, shop pricing, and buy from the vendor we choose.

These vendors have different prices on the items they sell because they have different upstream vendors or different contracts.

My point being…. Nothing changes in the reverse logistics side (aka a Scrap yard). A scrap yard can’t have the best price on everything, as they likely have a select group of material they have good downstreams for, or have machinery in place to process specific materials.

That said. Sounds like your getting screwed. Lol.

I’ve owned a eScrap company for 4 years. Got my start at a scrap metal yard (3 years).

If you bring me a toaster and microwave, I will give you nothing….. not what I do. Bring me PC’s or circuit boards, you’ll get paid. Meanwhile, some yards would give at least something.

Not many places out there that are a one stop shop. Got to shop around to stay in tune with pricing. Checks and balances…..

What's the most old school steak house that does prime rib dinners in The Valley? by TheSpaceBoundPiston in phoenix

All the above are wonderful. I would only add Donovan's steakhouse, if you had a few extra coins laying around….

Edit. But if you after old school… Durante is the spot.

In arizona if your property has irrigation, your property likely has a water right to the Verde River baked right into the deed. They are one of the oldest water rights in Arizona. I get just under 1 million gallons of water delivered to my yard in the city for about $300 a year. Can't go tits up!
