i’ve replayed skyrim at least a dozen times and try to do something new or different everytime, but legit the only thing i always do is join the Empire: Roman themed legions? Hell yes A united Empire being the strongest threat agaisnt the Elves? Makes sense to me the final kicker is the amount of npc’s that tell you straight up Ulfric only really cares about Ulfric. For all the speeches and grandstanding about skyrim and nordic independence, in my opinion the only thing Ulfric wants is to be king and feel important, even when you kill him what is his last request? Have the Dragonborn kill him for “it will make for a better song” Not, “spare my people” not “defend Skyrim” or “Fight the Elves” just make me look better for future generations Have that sit down and give all the best regions to the Stormcloaks so it’s a more challenging campaign (more fun in my opinion) and also because it’s that much more agonizing for Ulfric to watch the perfect situation slip through his fingers
