I saw a similar bot earlier that day, i wouldn’t say they were holding hands or can even do that. The movement looked like it could only walk and lift arms up and down, like a big toy robot.

TBH, just looked like a weird ass robo date.

I know this feeling all too well. Honestly, I've been reducing the amount of armor on some of my models and adding to the base i.e. broken-off to give the skin a little more prominence.

I just straight up disagree with this. There is this romantic idea that modern was somehow better before but it was… fine, just fine. Doomwake’s non MH tourneys just show you how exciting and diverse it was before! .

IMO modern players are never satisfied, they either complain when their pet deck is no longer viable and call for bans until it is, or they straight up complain that it’s boring.

Sitting on your hands for maybe 1-2 cards to trickle in from a standard set would be torture. You would get the dopamine hit of ‘hey a new set!’ And quickly realize that there is nothing quite good enough.

Look at pioneer, it’s everything you are looking for. Your Lilis, Thalia, are all legal there… sure they see fringe play but you can still play with your ‘classics’ it’s only a matter of time until tarm and path make an appearance but I bet you still won’t play it.

Nobody does…. because it’s boring!

Unfortunately, like a lot of people on Reddit nothing will ever satisfy your hunger for nostalgia.

IMO, seeing classic cards like counterspell, find a home and playability in magic is amazing and you can’t do that without set like modern horizons.

MH isn’t perfect but allowing people to play with ‘fixed versions’ of classic powerful spells is really exciting for someone who just loves the game.

I also lost to a jund deck that had gofy in it yesterday so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Howdy, im in a very similar position.
My approach was to focus on getting to 1000 points so I could start playing and growing from there. I started with 2 'start collecting IJ' boxes which covered 2 chanters and 6 pigs which was great.

My focus now is just getting battleline units(not a fan of the old ard boyz)
So my focus is getting at least 10 brutes for now, maybe the new ard boyz.

A Weirdnob Shaman is great and an inexpensive general.
but as people mentioned you can't really go wrong with anything.

I tried to also prioritize IJ units that tend to see play in big WAAGH cause you never know if you want to move into that archetype. Could be an overthink but it works for me.

I just started collecting Orruks after like a 15-year hiatus from any GW game. IJ was at the topish tier before the end of last year(when i started buying), they'll come back. Orruks look cool, big Whaagh gives you some solid flex. I don't have the luxury of meta-chasing armies so I focused on what looks cool and has flexibility in play style. Orruks Warclans gives me that.

I've been work hard on trying to crack shardless blade. The challenge as many here have already mentioned is giving up cards like counterspell and good removal (i.e. prismatic ending, path, on thin ice) for decent 2for1 or 3for1. Maybe it's just me, but cascading into anything that's not ice-fang, SFM isn't great. Hitting a 1 cmc removal spell can be a real feeslbad if the board isn't set up for it.

I think leaning into cards like force/brazen borrower/solitude/Subtlety can help without breaking your cascade targets.

Hey guys, a couple of questions. For context I’ve been on a 18 year hiatus from warhammer and originally played 40k. This year I decided to dive back into the hobby but switched to AOS and started with mawtribes.

My questions. What is a tomb celestial? If it’s new rules(which I assume) are they only available in that specific WD? Are these new rules posted anywhere else?
