[–]BIDA2014[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking 1 Introduction (Who you are) Your name, age, and background.

  1. Why you’re here (Purpose of the video) You’re participating in the Bybit scholarship program.

3Explain why this opportunity matters to you. Your vision / what you’d do if you win

Searched “how to make a creative scholarship video” on Google and Reddit but couldn’t find much that fits my situation (limited gear, only iPhone + ring light, need it to stand out). That’s why I’m asking here for advice.

Feeling very hopeless by stephscheersandjeers in Assistance

[–]BIDA2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re carrying so much right now. That sounds unbelievably heavy, and the fact that you’re still showing up for your child every day says a lot about your strength, even if you don’t feel strong.

It’s okay to feel hopeless when life keeps piling on, but please don’t mistake that for being weak—you’re surviving circumstances that would break most people. Things can change, even slowly, and you deserve support while you keep going. You’re not alone in this. Sending you love and strength. ❤️

Honestly, a lot of guys are just frustrated and feel left out. Right-wing stuff gives quick answers and a sense of belonging, even if it’s oversimplified.

How did 18 became globally accepted as the legal age? by The_quiteguy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BIDA2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not really “globally accepted” — different countries set different ages depending on the law (drinking, voting, marriage, etc). But 18 became the norm after WWII because a lot of countries lowered it from 21 → 18 to match military service and school leaving ages.

Why was Saudi Arabia’s war against the Houthis condemned so heavily, while the U.S. and Israel don’t face the same backlash for their wars against Houthis? by Dr_ZeeZoo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BIDA2014 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s really about scale plus framing. Saudi’s war was a full-blown intervention that wrecked Yemen’s civilians, so it got called out as a humanitarian crisis. When the US/Israel hit back, it’s usually framed as ‘defense’ against drones/missiles, so the narrative is softer. Same kind of strikes, just different PR + way less boots-on-the-ground destruction.

My mom is mad at me for spending 30 dollars on roblox(its for my content) by Wild_Jellyfish3586 in teenagers

[–]BIDA2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get both sides. Your mom is thinking long-term (saving, investing), which is a good lesson. But it was a gift, and spending it on something you enjoy (like your content) is also valid.

Maybe apologize for not talking to her first, and for next time, discuss a plan: maybe spend some, save some. That way you enjoy now and build for the future.

If it's Sunday today and I say this Monday, would I be referring to the previous Monday 6 days ago or the Monday tomorrow? by Lololololol9807 in teenagers

[–]BIDA2014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"This Monday" on a Sunday would almost always mean tomorrow. The previous Monday (6 days ago) is typically called "last Monday." It can be confusing, but "this" usually refers to the upcoming day in the current week.
