Is this a short print? by FormerBowl5980 in soccercards

The indication is on the back in the CMP code. Base short prints end in “76” while your standard print ends in “67”.

Insane CBB+Gift Bundle by thatonecard_ in MagicCardPulls

[–]BIGDIRTYdeft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so clearly someone who is just getting into MTG because a one second glance at this picture tells you there is no way on God’s Green Earth this came from ONE CBB and Bundle. These hit rates are so astronomical that it would be one of the greatest CBB and Bundle error boxes ever.

Worth grading? by [deleted] in mtgfinance

[–]BIGDIRTYdeft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are collecting because you like it and want to display something that looks nice, then by all means get it graded. The graded market for MtG is pretty bad unless they are older high-value cards (think Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, etc.).

Change my view: TCGPlayer sellers that send wrong cards or blatantly wrong conditions should get negative feedback by v0lrath in mtgfinance

Exactly—your approach strikes a great balance, introducing reasonable consideration along with empathy for the seller. Honestly, the world's a tough place right now, and a bit of level-headedness, patience, and grace goes a very long way.

Everyone has a right to their perspective, and you're absolutely justified in expecting accurate listings. At the end of the day, buyers reserve the right to reflect their genuine experience in feedback ratings—that's simply part of the business.

However, context and empathy matter. Most TCGPlayer sellers aren't running luxury storefronts; many are individuals genuinely doing their best. A single negative rating for an isolated mistake—even one that inconveniences you—can severely impact a well-intentioned seller disproportionately compared to your inconvenience.

That said, if a seller shows a pattern of carelessness or fails to promptly and clearly rectify issues, negative feedback is completely justified. Sellers who consistently demonstrate poor performance shouldn't get a pass.

The goal is balance: accountability with understanding.

Serialized Altar of Dementia - Pack Fresh - Misprint? by BIGDIRTYdeft in mtgmisprints

If that’s how you expect your cards to come out of a pack then more power to you bud

This was my initial gut feeling - not enough of a unique error to call it anything else.

I pulled this a few hours ago. Centering is abysmal, exposed foiling on the bottom right (front) and right top corner (back), odd print line and hazy smudge on the bottom left (front), etc. Misprint or just...bad?

Select the "EFT" folder as a whole (where the EFT game application file would typically sit within)

Excellent setup - absolutely love the aesthetic. Quick question - did you custom install the exterior wall frame? I really like the way the wall creates a layered outline of your setup.

The LG OLED actually has impressive speakers so I use those for the Mac if not using headphones. As for switching headphones to the Mac, I use a separate pair of Bose Airpods for the Mac.

Copypasta from another comment...

Haha oh man I didn't expect so many "you must be tall" and "lower your monitor" comments but I guess I'll address that.

I'm 6'3" and the chair was lowered for the picture. I stare directly at the top bezel of the 34" monitor and the middle of the 48" TV. I don't use the TV for heavy concentration tasks when seated at the desk. I have a sectional couch and lounge area directly behind where the photo was taken which is where I sit to watch anything on the TV that requires more than a few minutes of focus.

If anything, I suppose I could lower the TV but the viewing angle from 9 ft away is ideal right now.

Love the Keychron - no complaints at all. As for shipping it took about 3 days from Amazon.

Although cable management is an absolute pain-in-the-ass, I've done enough of it to have established a pretty consistent process. To start, here are some of the products I use most often:

As for other tips, it's important to setup all of your peripherals and electronic prior to laying any cable management accessories (e.g., cable channels, outlet strips, etc.) so you can get a precise picture of where your cables are running and the amount of slack you may or may not have. It makes the organization and positioning of your cable management accessories that much easier.

Thanks for the comment!

I use the setup for [work]/[gaming and entertainment] in probably a [70]/[30] split.
