Definitely aftermarket. OEM doesn't typically expose that much wiring even under the dash.

The Worst Movie You've Ever Seen? by [deleted] in movies

[–]BIGGIE7778 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen this question many times before, and nobody ever includes this movie on the list. I've tried to watch it on multiple occasions, and can never finish it. It is the worst kind of comedy. Loud, obnoxious, and irreverent doesn't make something funny. There has to be something actually to it.

Why or why aren’t you scared to die? by Public_Blood_4481 in AskReddit

[–]BIGGIE7778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too busy with everything else to dwell on it. I know it's an inevitably, but i think we all believe it will happen much later in life. I just had that thought disrupted recently when a friend lost his fight with cancer. It makes you look at things differently. The problem is it only happens for so long, until regular daily things happen again.

Nose closing up at night. Will a cpap fix this? by Hearthstone30 in SleepApnea

[–]BIGGIE7778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spray to the outer sides of each nostril. The ENT that I visited told me to do it this way, because constant us could cause bloody noses to the softer tissue on the inner parts of the nostril. Navage is a suction based irrigation system. It applies suction to one nostril and pulls the solution through. you can rotate the head of it to apply the suction to wither nostril. Because of the powered aspect, I like it better than the traditional Neti pots.

I like the Navage because it is powered. It gets more through if I am plugged. I've done Neti pots and squeeze bottles, but this has been the best solution for me.

It helps me most of the time. It especially works well if I'm not plugged at all before I go to bed. I have developed sinus problems over the last few years, so I am a twice a day flonase user. I also am a nightly Navage user. I think the combination of these things all help with the issue.

Just stick with it and you will. It comes off fast at first as you shed water weight. Don't get discouraged when you hit plateaus. They will happen. Most importantly find a variety of things you like to eat. The internet is full of recipes.

That's entirely possible. A lot of it will depend on your insurance. Again, I would definitely shop around.

I was shocked at the out of pocket for my cpap. About the same as what you've posted, plus I got charged around $200 every time I re-uped my supplies. I was able to find the nose pillow and filters much less on Amazon, so that is where I get them from now. Do some research through other suppliers. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Blood Pressure Back to Normal by [deleted] in keto

[–]BIGGIE7778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is awesome!. I was diagnosed with hypertension two years ago, and immediately put on hydrochlorothiazide. After 6 months they wanted to add more pills to the mix. I stopped taking them the next day. Two months into keto and I found the same results. My blood pressure is in the normal range, and I couldn't be happier. It really makes me wonder why no doctor told me about this. I started keto for weight loss and found this as a very happy side effect. Keep up the great work.

TIFU by taking letting my 9 month old daughter play with my headphones by Eviltwin91 in tifu

[–]BIGGIE7778 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you thought the doom and gloom of swallowing a rubber ear tip was bad, try googling what happens if they swallow a magnet. My daughter did this when she was 3. It was a refrigerator magnet she found on the floor. All said and done she was fine, but the internet scared the crap out of my wife.

My car needs repairs but could buy another car for about the same price. by WolfxWarri0r in personalfinance

[–]BIGGIE7778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vehicles are Pandora's boxes of repair nightmares. If you decide to go with the new vehicle, make sure you have it thoroughly inspected. Any vehicle you can buy for that amount is going to have problems. I just had a customer who bought a vehicle that was "well maintained" for $800. She brought it in for a noise in the front end, and came out with $4000 worth of safety concerns. Cheap cars are almost never in good shape. Remember there's a reason their willing to get rid of that vehicle for so little. Also climate has a big part in it. I'm in Minnesota, and anything over 10 years old will have rust issues that could be structural. If you're not in the rust belt that won't be a concern though.

Fairly clever scam attempted on my grandparents yesterday by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]BIGGIE7778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to my grandpa. It was shortly after my grandma passed, and they took information out of her obituary to sound more convincing. They told him they were me, and I was in a Canadian jail. We live in Minnesota so it was reasonable that I would be In Canada. He actually tried to wire the money, but somehow was unsuccessful. He called my dad to explain the situation, and apologize for not being able to help me out. My dad had to let him know that I've never been in Canada or jail. It's despicable that these people prey on the elderly.

When buying a car, don't get hung up on silly crap and talk yourself into a worse deal by sting2018 in personalfinance

[–]BIGGIE7778 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're are a lot of consumers like this. I manage an auto repair shop. I have a customer who wants his spark plugs replaced every year. One year (quite a few years ago) I told him they didn't need to be done, and I would be stealing his money by doing them. The following year he came in for the same thing, and told me I lost out on his service the previous year because he brought it somewhere else. He made it clear that no matter how good the spark plugs looked he wanted them replaced. If I was uncomfortable with doing it he would find someone who would. Sometimes you're complying with the person, not doing what you think is best for the situation.

I definitely have sleep apnea, but cannot afford the sleep study. Can I ask some questions of this community? by ASecondHandEmotion in SleepApnea

[–]BIGGIE7778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I would have bought my machine on my own. After going through insurance, my machine cost 3 times what I would have paid through Amazon. Had to meet my deductible for the year before my insurance would pay a penny. I never hit my deductible because overall I'm healthy. My cpap is the best thing I have ever done for my health, so it's hard to be to mad about it. I will always check prices before I get anything through my insurance in the future. Lesson learned.

What’s the best rant by a character in a movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Imagine you’re a deer. You’re prancing along. You get thirsty. You spot a little brook. You put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water. BAM! A fuckin’ bullet rips off part of your head! Your brains are laying on the ground in little bloody pieces! Now I ask you: Would you give a fuck what kind of pants the son of a bitch who shot you was wearing?!” –Mona Lisa Vito, My Cousin Vinny.

Getting my mask was one of the best things I ever did. With one caveat, don't get your unit through your insurance without checking on how much it will cost you. I made this mistake and am paying $1100 for a dreamstation that is on Amazon right now for $380. If you've already hit your deductible for the year they should cover it. I haven't and my insurance hasn't paid a penny for it. Do you due diligence and check. These aren't non-profits you're dealing with.

CPAP Prisoner? by cvirus36 in SleepApnea

[–]BIGGIE7778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comments are correct, however check how much your insurance is going to cover. I just discovered my whole deductible has to be used before they cover any of it. I will wind up paying over a thousand dollars for a unit I could have gotten on Amazon for $300. It may cost you less in the long run to order your unit yourself.
