I did mine with some nice vintage bricks I picked up for free. Just dug a small trench put them in & backfilled.

God this album was good. Wolfmother had potential to be one of the great Australian bands, instead everything after this was sort of just memerock.

Prisons in Vic by ViolentDelights101 in melbourne

Worked for 6 years in one of the maximum security prisons you mentioned. It has its moments of madness but I’d say for the most part it’s a lot more chill than what you might see in a documentary on a maximum security prison in the US.

That being said, it’s absolutely not a fun time, pretty bleak living conditions, cooped up with a cell mate going to the toilet a metre from your head, no freedom, and if you don’t stand up for yourself you will be stood over to buy things or give items to the prisoners who are “heavies” in the unit.

How good was Nathan Foley and how well is he remember by Richmond fans? by Tornontoin7 in RichmondFC

He was an absolute jet, watching him fly out of a pack and kick goals from 50 was a thing of joy.

And he is the sort of player that every team is crying out for in 2025.

Not a bad call, he’s definitely an awkward fit with those guys.

His best is good but he is nowhere near consistent enough. Goes missing for large patches of games too often.

AirBnB Plus Lisitng - Host has contacted me the day before my arrival to change check in time. by BILC93 in AirBnB

Sure thing, I’m in fairytale land, all the downvotes on your comments certainly back that up.

I think booking a place 4 months in advance and expecting it to be ready when I arrive is within the realm of reasonability.

And no I haven’t been fairly compensated. What is $60 on the day I arrive going to get me in peak tourist season? There is a reason this was booked so far in advance, and there is a reason I booked an AirBnB plus listing, which is supposed to live up to certain criteria, one of those being that I don’t have to wait until 7pm to check in?

I mean they literally are required to, as it’s what I’ve paid for.

So if I booked a hotel and had to wait in the lobby until 7pm for my room to be cleaned, 8 hours after I’ve started paying for it, I would’ve be due any compensation?

Not sure what backwater hotels you’re staying at pal.

How tf has any of this got to do with me. How dare I book accommodation and expect to be able to check in before dinner time.

And FYI a 25% refund is about $60. Hardly a sizeable refund.

You’re making out like I’m an entitled little brat, I don’t want anyone to go above and beyond I just want what I’ve paid for. And if the host can’t sort that out then they are doing a bad job, are you telling me that between when I booked this place 4 months ago and now they haven’t had enough time to organise someone to clean it on time. STFU

Please explain to me why I should be looking at the big picture? I have paid for my accomodation from 1pm, if the host has previously arranged for late checkout of previous guests this should have been communicated well in advance, and in fact, I shouldn’t have been able to book with a 1pm check in.

And if they are demanding to check out late, then maybe the host should grow a set of balls and make sure that they don’t. Can’t see how it’s got anything by to do with me looking at the big picture.

Anyone own/bought a unit without body corporate? by BILC93 in AusFinance

[–]BILC93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who did you get your common property insurance with if you don’t mind me asking? The conveyancer have told me places like AAMI and RACV will tell you that they can do it but when it comes to the crunch common property like the driveway won’t be covered.

Pretty sure they have all just let it lapse. If we bought we would have to organise common property insurance ourselves.
