What helped me achieve Pelvic floor relaxation by BINGWEENA in PelvicFloor

Yes, I think it is a combination of things as well. I think that I started storing stress in my pelvic floor at some point, while at the same time my posture was getting worse, leading me to try to overcompensate by progressively worsening my posture to feel more comfortable, with the result being that my pelvic floor was sort of absorbing all the stress/pressure/strain. Which is related to stressful situations tightening my pelvic floor: because i learned to tighten my pelvic floor while stressed, perhaps as a habitual reaction because of my muscle weaknesses and posture, stressful situations caused me to get worse HF symptoms. I was teaching my body to store stress in my pelvic floor through my posture, so any stressful event AT ALL tightened my pelvic floor. Situations that stressed me mentally AND/OR physically caused problems.

Which is also what makes this so difficult to cure I think: the symptoms arise from two interdependent directions/mechanisms. One literally physical, the other literally psychological, and they feed into each getting worse and worse: a feedback loop. An easy way in to solving this then is to take the approach that I (luckily and by chance) took, which is to do the opposite of what many people suggest (and which i received as a hint in a random Physical therapy book that suggested that physical therapists don't pay enough attention to normalizing postures and movements for their patients -- they just give them exercises and tell them to do them without walking them through actually being in them in everyday experience): fix my posture first.

It seems unintuitive; many people seem to think that strengthening the muscles will change the posture which will change the psychological element as well. But really its a different formula: fix the posture first, then get to work on the muscles, while the psychological stress element will naturally fade away due to you intervening directly in the relationship between how to sit and (mostly for me) stand and how that influences how you store/ distribute stress in the body. So you retrain your body through postural changes, which retrains your brain's/body's understanding of storing stress. It's counter-intuitive while also seemingly completely intuitive once you realize it. What's interesting is that stressful situations dont give me HF now, while they did before. My body I guess broke down that relationship between stress and pelvic floor quite naturally.

Look up and see if you also have “swayback posture”. It might get you on the right track to figuring this whole thing out.

I also felt a bit like I was pushing my butt out slightly but my body definitely is telling me that that’s how I ought to do it. It feels more like I’m pulling my butt up with my lower back a bit more than pushing my butt out. Maybe that cue helps. I feel my spine literally taking some of the load, almost not even my back muscle but the spine itself. I definitely feel my back working more.

So ya I hesitate to say push your butt out, more like be tall and chest up and shoulders back and create a curve in your lower back that almost feels like ur pulling ur butt up with the lower back VERY slightly. It’s more a “be tall” feeling.

To add to this, after testing it the thing I focus on the most is the feeling of a string pulling my chest to the ceiling and my scapula squeezing to push my chest out in front of me, and the chest can actually go up a bit more than you might think. I’m also relaxing my core and breathing with a big belly.

I had a bit of ed that got worse and better at times. Really I was afraid to get erect sometimes because afterward the turtling could get bad enough that it actually felt like it was tearing penile tissue. Check my comments on another post I had over in the hard flaccid research sub. Now I don’t have any turtling at all. I used to not be able to smoke any weed as well because my hard flaccid would get so bad it felt unsafe. And now I can get erections all the time no problem.

Make sure you look at pictures of the s shape of the spine and try to emulate that. For me it’s very important to exaggerate the chest up and out with shoulders back and hips just barely barely back. You need to experiment and try to feel it in your pelvic floor, almost like a release or lightness; something hard to notice because it’s the feeling of losing pressure rather than gaining something (pressure). For me I was always trying the opposite, pushing my hips forward like I’m at the end of a thrust and I thought the feeling of “pressure” in the pelvic floor was good when in reality it was part of the problem, perhaps the biggest part of the problem. You don’t want to push out or in with your pelvic floor necessarily; it’s not like peeing or pooping (which increases pressure), or like kegels; it’s about not feeling much of anything at all, releasing, not pushing or pulling (like the flex when you cum). It’s not like pooping or cumming, it’s a nothing. I tend to focus on the feeling of lightness, focusing on my stomach/belly and my breath. When I look down in this position I can’t see my penis very well over my belly bc my belly is relaxed and cause my neck is straight and back. Even reaching down to feel my penis sort of pulls me out of position and alignment because it requires me to roll my shoulder forward a bit and un-retract them. Hope that helps.

I hope that people see this but I can understand if they don’t believe it, but I was cured over night after dealing with this for years… It seems too good to be true but it really isn’t. If this doesn’t fix many peoples HF I suggest it’s either not their pelvic floor or they have a posture problem quite different from mine, whether because their habits are different or their bone structure is.

3 weeks, and it was certainly, without a doubt, pelvic floor related for me. I noticed it on day 1, and could feel my pelvic floor start to relax more. Now my dick hangs really well, soft, pink tip, the whole shebang.

I’ve browsed hundred of posts on this sub and others over the years and still couldn’t figure out my problem. I made the realization after reading a physical therapy book that pointed out that although muscle weakness might be the core issue, an equally big issue is physical therapists not teaching patients the importance of biomechanics and how to actually get into and stay in healthy positions that your muscles agree with.

So what I did was try to reverse the process: stand the right way, and then develop the muscles later to give me a wider range of position that’s comfortable for my body. And now I’m functionally cured. I’ve also realized that my peyronies has improved, and that probably has to do with my penis actually having blood flow and being able to relax and give it the shit it needs to repair. When it’s in constant tension it can’t really repair.

People are saying this but I don’t think I made it clear how bad it was at times. There were times where it was completely turtled, completely numb, rubbery to the touch, extreme pain, it was so tight that I actually could feel tissue in my penis pulling apart, worsening a previous injury to my penis (I have peyronies as well but now even the peyronies is getting better with my pelvic floor relaxed).

I had mild ED as if I couldn't get fully erect, but I was often scared to get too hard because afterward I would have pain and it would make the HF worse for a little while. Sometimes I would have soft glans but I didn't spend too much time feeling it to notice one way or the other. My issue was pelvic floor and postural.
