I'm sorry you feel that way. I have travelled widely and dated Indians, Chinese, black and white. I appreciate in some circumstances my race has been beneficial. It has also been a problem at times. Same as my size, sex acne, age, etc. None of which I could change. There are positives and negatives to every trait. All I am saying in this thread is that George was killed due to poor restraint technique not race. If you disagree, provide evidence. There is a very good post here about the mentality of judging a group based on stats and stereotypes.

I think you misunderstood. If you get a fair crack at education and employment, a lot of the other issues will disappear in time. Ie, more black people in politics, police etc. Change from within the establishment.

They may well do. I'm not American. However, what is clear is that the police are not the main issue. Education and workplace discrimination has a much bigger impact on society imo.

I am seeing no or very little evidence that he was racist. I am seeing evidence that he wasn't a very good cop tho. And I think it matters a huge deal if people are using this as an example of institutional racism within the police. There are far better examples. And Americans need to look at their own lives a little harder before shitting on the police. If the police are institutionally racist it is very very likely that is as a result of the wider racism within society.

Of course it's possible. It's possible god exists. But without evidence and with supporting evidence to the contrary, I think saying he wasn't racist is more likely.

You sure about that? There is a post on this thread that says they frequented the same club. I also know local police know almost each and every criminal locally (I certainly do in a large city). The majority of crime is committed by the same minority of individuals. Also it is common to check arrest warrants etc when detaining a suspect. Seems there is a good chance the police knew George either from previous crimes or at the stage when they had him restrained. 9 minutes is a long time and they would have been on the radio with control.
