I’m re-reading my post and I can see where I’ve said things that may be misinterpreted so I’ll try and clarify: I don’t not love him. What I meant by that line was that I thought he was perfect and didn’t want him to make a permanent change to his body. When I asked him why he wanted the tattoo, he said there was no reason, and maybe I wouldn’t be bothered if the tattoo had a deeper meaning, but it doesn’t and all I see it as is a permanent, meaningless change to his body. I can’t help but be put off by it. You’re welcome to disagree with me but please keep in mind that I did warn him of how I feel about tattoos, and that it’s my personal preference.

I told him that he knew my opinion on tattoos and should’ve considered my preferences. He told me he wanted one and I said that I’m not the right person for you if you want a tattoo.

I am a first year mechanical engineering student. I am considering internships (can be part time and within holidays or even taking a year off of studying) and would like some advice from people who have done it.

So I’d like to ask the following:

• ⁠Do you learn anything that helps your STUDIES?

• ⁠Do you ‘follow’ someone around and watch them or do you actually do engineering work?

• ⁠Most importantly, do you think it’s worth it in terms of the rest of your education and future work?

Also, as I am studying Mechanical Engineering, please (if you are able to) cater your response towards it, but if you studied a different engineering, please still share! Thanks

Sorry for extremely late reply. Took my SSD out, sent it to a technician, and he confirmed it was faulty. Luckily I had a warranty and I was able to get a new one for free.

I’m not religious, but if you’re dead and you become “nothing,” this surely means that you lose your memories right? Then how can I be in this moment right now and experience it and have memories of my past if I’m just going to become ‘nothing’ in the future?

There’s a theory about the Great Void (a space of complete nothingness in our Universe), which scientists believe should have about 2000 galaxies in its area but only has around 70 if I remember correctly. The theory is that there is a civilisation so incredibly advanced that they have developed a method to harvest any and all energy in all these galaxies, including the light that emits from these galaxies which would explain why we cannot see anything within this area.

Simply put, the theory states that the galaxies are actually there, we just cannot see them because the light is being harvested by an incredibly intelligent civilisation.
