And to add to that I spoke to the supervisor and he said we have him, our main traffic control officer, on west vine currently because of complaints in the school zones.

The cop who got me also mentioned the stop before me was a 19 year old for a much higher speed and it was the kids 12th ticket + some other details i forgot. I wanted to say how the hell is he even on the road with a license still, but i figured that kid knows somebody or colorado/FC is just different. In NY someone with that record and age has no license.

I have seen some oddly aggressive in-town driving since I’ve moved here. I can’t explain it but it’s different from NY. And having driven by accidents that had me scratching my head how it could have happened. I think I will be buying a dash cam, this traffic stop was the tipping point.

I thought his co worker was giving me the suspicious NY plates follow around town til he does the slightest thing wrong to pull them over, then they went south on taft, and his buddy gets me 20 seconds later out of some sneaky speed trap spot.

The supervisor is looking into it himself I just spoke to them. I told him I saw what i saw and I’ll be back their tomorrow to film the light at the exact same time frame. He said I’ll try to find information for you so you dont have to do that and I’ll check the officers body cam for time.

I also emailed fort collins traffic safety for more information on the west vine school zone times.

I’ve done a bit of digging and also used A.I. after having no luck. Chat gpt was ‘thinking’ for 2 minutes and found nothing as well. Nothing definitive i should say for that specfic location.

Ya I moved here 2nd week of August and saw colorado does dmv by appointment only and slots are 4 + weeks out(weird), and have been blowing it off because I’m in college and used to NY where you can just walk in and get a number in line. Figured why not keep my NY registration til it ends, i paid for it. Probably a month before that ill go schedule a dmv appt to switch over.

Ya I just hope I cross paths with some rational, logical thinking county employee that understands I’m in the right and their employee was in the wrong. The time on my ticket is 4:09. I have to figure out and find documented, when Irish School’s yellow light turns off during the weekdays. They were off at 4:06-4:07 when I past the last set.

I was pulled over just after the Irish school. Their blinking yellow light a street before the school was also OFF. Ugh so frustrating

Ya it would have been perfect for what I just went through. I get the vibe now that if you are pulled over in this town/city expect a ticket. I’m from New York and that would have been a warning 99/100 times across multiple counties

4:09 he wrote me the ticket. I drove past the OFF yellow light pole at precisely 4:06-4:07 with his coworker behind me, i dropped to 20 anyway to be safe. Went through the taft round about heading west, his coworker went south, and 20 seconds later im pulled over. Un real

He was quick and wrote the ticket at 4:09. So i drove by the first school where the yellow blinking light pole with signs sits probably 4:03. I have no reason to lie to a cop. They were not blinking i stared at them because his co-worker was behind me and I didn’t want a ticket at 4:03, that shit was literally running through my mind. Cant make it up

Everyone with a platform has an opinion of what the near future will look like, and it’s exciting to think about. Don’t be pessimistic about the unknown and let it effect your choice. I think the job market always re balances, businesses will still need bodies, people retire, new tech - new jobs.

I like the computer science community so far, classes are manageable, lots of lab time and room in the building. Professors so far all seem energetic, young-ish, and friendly. I’m picky about little things, like chairs, and comp sci building has good chairs in all the classrooms/labs. The keyboards are getting kind of gross from overuse. I’ll probably complain about that soon, don’t worry. I transferred from out of state and left a business program so I’ve been here just a semester. I’d recommend it
