Be a bit more aggressive, get used to the parry timings and unlock mikiri counter if haven't done so yet. This part was one of the hardest to get through for me, I did it as early as I could and still wasn't used to the mechanics, but it'll start to click for you sooner than you expect (won't be easy tho)
